**Crude Oil: Fundamental Analysis**

75
Yesterday, global financial markets experienced violent volatility, driven primarily by policy signals released by U.S. President Trump. After he publicly announced a halt to strikes against Iran's energy infrastructure and hinted that negotiations might be making progress, market risk expectations cooled rapidly. Consequently, crude oil prices suffered a precipitous decline within a very short timeframe, with the single-day drop briefly exceeding 13%. Concurrently, risk-aversion sentiment eased; U.S. Treasury yields fell sharply—with the 2-year Treasury yield dropping approximately 22 basis points to 3.79% at one point, marking one of the largest single-day fluctuations in recent times—while U.S. equity markets demonstrated a clear recovery in risk appetite, with the S&P 500 Index rising about 2.2% during intraday trading. However, during Tuesday's Asian trading session, oil prices continued to rebound, while Nasdaq futures retreated slightly. Overall, the market remains in a phase of emotional adjustment; until a clear directional trend emerges, traders should remain vigilant regarding the potential for further increases in volatility.
