Gold Is Under Pressure _ Can $4,000 Hold This Time?

1 144
Gold(XAUUSD), given the developments in the Middle East and the sharp decline of U.S. indices—particularly the S&P 500—has continued its downward movement in recent days. Many global markets remain sensitive to Middle Eastern tensions, and breaking news can rapidly impact assets. So, managing your risk in these times is key.

Currently, gold is trading below the key $4,180 level and is breaking through the heavy support zone($4,401-$4,099). However, we might see demand near the psychological round number of $4,000. Thus, we could expect a short-term bounce toward the resistance lines—around $4,180.

From an Elliott Wave Theory perspective, gold’s corrective waves are likely continuing after breaking its important uptrend line. We should prepare for further downward waves.

I expect gold may dip closer to the $4,000 level and then see a short-term bounce. We’ll have to watch if it can hold above this key level or not.

Note: Financial markets are highly interconnected at times like this. Generally, when the S&P 500(SPX500) and U.S. indices decline, we see swift reactions in Gold and Silver(XAGUSD), and even in the cryptocurrency market, including Bitcoin(BTCUSDT). Thus, we need to analyze multiple factors together for a successful trade. In these times, risk management is more important than ever.

What’s your view on gold? Can it sustain above $4,000, or should we expect further declines?
