Alternate Day Shading
Shades alternate trading days with different background colours on intraday charts, making it easy to see where each day starts and ends at a glance.
How it works:
Day boundaries follow the symbol's own daily candle (session start), not midnight in your local time zone, so each shaded block matches exactly one candle on the 1D chart.
Settings:
- Day A colour – shading for every other day
- Day B colour – shading for the days in between (transparent by default)
Notes:
- Works on intraday timeframes only (1m to 4H); turns off on Daily and above.
- Which day gets Day A depends on loaded history, so colours may swap when more bars load. Boundaries stay the same.
- Pairs well with Session Breaks and prior-day high/low indicators.
