Camarilla Framework [MMT]

Camarilla Framework [MMT]
Camarilla Framework [MMT] displays session-based Camarilla levels with optional weekly and monthly layers, previous 4-hour reference levels, customizable labels, and confirmed-close alerts.
The indicator provides a clean map of potential reaction areas, breakout references, and expansion levels. Daily levels use thin tan lines by default, while higher-timeframe levels have separate colors and clearly identified labels.
The source calculations use 1-minute data, allowing the selected session boundaries to remain independent of the chart’s candle alignment.
How the levels are calculated
The indicator uses the high, low, and final intraday close of the selected completed source period.
For the formulas below:
• H = source-period high
• L = source-period low
• C = source-period close
• Range = H − L
CP = C
R3 = C + Range × 1.1 ÷ 4
S3 = C − Range × 1.1 ÷ 4
R4 = C + Range × 1.1 ÷ 2
S4 = C − Range × 1.1 ÷ 2
R6 = C × H ÷ L
S6 = 2 × C − R6
CP represents the previous source period’s close. It does not use the traditional (H + L + C) ÷ 3 central-pivot formula.
The outer ratio levels are labeled R6 and S6 in this indicator. Some other Camarilla implementations label these same calculations R5 and S5, so compare formulas and source settings when comparing indicators.
Understanding the levels
• CP: A reference for assessing price position relative to the previous close. Traders can observe whether price holds above, holds below, or repeatedly rotates around it.
• R3 / S3: Potential reaction and rotation references. These levels can help organize observations of rejection, acceptance, and movement back toward CP.
• R4 / S4: Potential breakout and breakdown references. A crossing alone does not establish acceptance or confirm that the move will continue.
• R6 / S6: Outer expansion references that can help frame extended price movement and potential reaction areas.
These levels identify areas to observe. They do not automatically determine an entry, stop loss, or target.
Source / Sessions inputs
• Daily HLC source
Select RTH or ETH. This selection determines the session window used to build daily levels. It also determines which intraday bars contribute to the weekly and monthly calculations.
• RTH window
Defines the regular-session calculation window. The default is 09:30–16:00 in the selected session timezone. Only bars inside this window contribute when RTH is selected.
• ETH window
Defines the extended-session calculation window. The default is 18:00–17:00, crossing midnight. When ETH is selected, calculations include the full selected window rather than stopping at the RTH close.
• Session timezone
Determines how the RTH and ETH windows are interpreted. The default is America/New_York. Selecting Exchange uses the symbol’s exchange timezone. Weekly, monthly, and 4-hour period boundaries remain aligned with the requested symbol’s exchange data.
• 1-minute source history
Controls the requested amount of 1-minute calculation history, from 20,000 to 100,000 bars. The default is 100,000. More history helps initialize weekly and monthly calculations. Actual availability depends on the symbol, data feed, and TradingView plan. Increasing this setting cannot create unavailable data.
Daily Levels inputs
• Daily layer
Shows or hides the daily pivot drawings and their associated price-scale markers.
• R3 / S3
Shows or hides the daily R3 and S3 pair.
• R4 / S4
Shows or hides the daily R4 and S4 pair.
• R6 / S6
Shows or hides the daily R6 and S6 pair.
• CP = prior close
Shows or hides the daily CP line.
• Prior daily sets to retain
Controls how many previous daily pivot sets remain visible in addition to the latest set. A value of 0 keeps only the latest set. The maximum is 20 previous sets. These sets correspond to completed source sessions rather than every calendar day.
The daily pair switches affect the daily layer only. Weekly and monthly visibility is controlled separately.
Higher Timeframe Levels inputs
• Weekly layer
Choose Off, CP only, or All levels.
Off hides the weekly drawings.
CP only displays the previous completed week’s closing-price reference.
All levels displays weekly CP, R3, R4, R6, S3, S4, and S6.
Weekly high, low, and close are aggregated from the selected RTH or ETH window throughout the source week.
• Monthly layer
Choose Off, CP only, or All levels. This works like the weekly setting, using the previous completed exchange month and aggregating only the selected RTH or ETH window.
• Prior weekly sets
Controls how many previous weekly sets remain visible alongside the latest weekly set. The range is 0–10.
• Prior monthly sets
Controls how many previous monthly sets remain visible alongside the latest monthly set. The range is 0–6.
• Previous 4H H/L/C (additional reference)
Displays the high, low, and close of the previous completed 4-hour candle. These are reference levels, not 4-hour Camarilla calculations.
The 4-hour candles use the requested symbol’s extended-session data and exchange-aligned boundaries independently of the RTH/ETH calculation window. Only the latest previous-candle reference set is retained.
Appearance inputs
• Daily R / S
Sets the color of the daily resistance and support lines, their label backgrounds, and their price-scale markers.
• Daily CP
Sets the color of the daily CP line, label background, and price-scale marker.
• Weekly
Sets the color of the weekly pivot drawings and weekly CP price-scale marker.
• Monthly
Sets the color of the monthly pivot drawings and monthly CP price-scale marker.
• 4H
Sets the color of the optional previous-4H reference lines and label backgrounds.
• Line width
Controls the thickness of the horizontal lines, from 1 to 4.
• Line transparency
Controls line transparency, from 0 to 90. Lower values make lines more visible; higher values make them fainter. This setting does not change label-background transparency.
• Line style
Select Solid, Dashed, or Dotted horizontal lines.
• Extend active lines right
Extends the latest active lines indefinitely to the right. When disabled, active lines end near their corresponding label positions. Retained historical daily, weekly, and monthly sets end when the next set is published.
• Labels
Shows or hides the text labels beside the levels. This setting is independent of the price-scale marker setting.
• Prices
Adds calculated prices to the text labels. When disabled, labels display only their level names.
• Label price format
Two decimals displays calculated prices to two decimal places.
Minimum tick formats label prices to the symbol’s minimum tick increment.
This setting changes label text only. It does not move the underlying calculated levels.
• Show current daily / HTF CP prices on scale
Shows price-scale markers for the enabled daily levels and for weekly/monthly CP when those layers are enabled. It does not add scale markers for every weekly or monthly resistance/support level, or for the optional 4H references.
• Label size
Select Tiny, Small, or Normal text labels.
• Daily label offset (bars)
Controls the horizontal distance between the current chart bar and the daily labels. Larger values move labels farther right. The spacing uses the duration of the current chart timeframe.
• Extra offset per HTF layer (bars)
Adds horizontal spacing between the different layers’ labels. Weekly labels receive one additional spacing increment, monthly labels receive two, and 4H labels receive three.
This helps separate labels horizontally, but identical or closely clustered prices can still overlap.
• Labels on latest sets only
Keeps text labels only on the latest daily, weekly, and monthly sets while allowing retained historical lines to remain visible. Disable this setting to retain labels on historical sets as well.
When levels update
Daily levels become available after the selected source session finishes and remain available during subsequent trading, including overnight activity.
Weekly and monthly levels update when a new exchange week or month begins, using the completed preceding period.
Daily, weekly, and monthly calculation snapshots are adopted on confirmed chart bars. Consequently, a source-period update can take up to one chart bar to appear.
If a scheduled final source bar is unavailable because of an early close, holiday, or data gap, daily finalization occurs on the next available bar after the configured session end.
Alerts
The indicator includes 16 confirmed-close crossing conditions:
• Daily CP reclaimed or lost
• Cross above or below daily R3
• Cross above or below daily R4
• Cross above or below daily S3
• Cross above or below daily S4
• Cross above daily R6
• Cross below daily S6
• Weekly CP reclaimed or lost
• Monthly CP reclaimed or lost
A reclaim requires the current close to finish above the level after the previous close was at or below it. A loss requires the reverse.
Alerts are suppressed on the chart bar where the relevant pivot set changes, helping prevent a recalculated level from producing a false crossing event.
These are crossing alerts. They do not detect a completed retest, momentum confirmation, or acceptance beyond a level. Display switches control visibility and do not disable the underlying alert calculations.
Chart requirements and data considerations
Use standard time-based charts from 1 to 60 minutes. The indicator does not support synthetic chart types, sub-minute charts, or chart timeframes above 60 minutes.
The default session windows are intended as starting settings for ES/NQ-style futures trading. Adjust them to suit the instrument and session definition you want to analyze.
The first partially loaded source session is excluded. Initial weekly and monthly periods are also withheld until sufficient complete-period history is available. Higher-timeframe layers can therefore remain blank during initialization.
Source closes come from intraday prices rather than an exchange settlement substitution. Differences in session windows, data feeds, contract selection, and closing-price methods can produce different levels across indicators.
Camarilla Framework [MMT] is a chart-analysis indicator, not an automated trading strategy. It makes no claim of predictive accuracy or guaranteed trading results.

How the levels are calculated
The indicator uses the high, low, and final intraday close of the selected completed source period.
For the formulas below:
• H = source-period high
• L = source-period low
• C = source-period close
• Range = H − L
CP = C
R3 = C + Range × 1.1 ÷ 4
S3 = C − Range × 1.1 ÷ 4
R4 = C + Range × 1.1 ÷ 2
S4 = C − Range × 1.1 ÷ 2
R6 = C × H ÷ L
S6 = 2 × C − R6
