Monitor Market Direction, Global Cues and Sector Strength in One Table
The NSE Sector & Global Market Dashboard is designed to help traders monitor the Indian stock market, global market sentiment, and sectoral performance from a single, organised dashboard.
Instead of switching between multiple charts to check individual indices, this indicator brings important market information together in one place.
It displays the latest available index values, daily price changes, and short-term momentum across major Indian market indices and sectors, along with Dow Jones Futures and India VIX.
1. Market Indices and Global Cues
The dashboard displays the following five instruments at the top:
• India VIX
• Dow Jones Futures
• NIFTY 50
• NIFTY BANK
• NIFTY IT
These provide a quick overview of market sentiment, volatility, global cues, and the direction of the major Indian indices.
2. Sectoral Indices
The dashboard also tracks the following NSE sectoral and thematic indices:
• NIFTY Private Bank
• NIFTY Pharma
• NIFTY Healthcare
• NIFTY Auto
• NIFTY Metal
• NIFTY FMCG
• NIFTY Realty
• NIFTY Energy
• NIFTY Oil & Gas
• NIFTY Infrastructure
• NIFTY Cement
• NIFTY Media
• NIFTY CPSE
• NIFTY India Defence
• NIFTY Midcap Select
This makes it easier to identify which sectors are showing relative strength or weakness during the trading session.
3. Dashboard Metrics
For every instrument, the table displays:
LTP (Last Traded Price)
The latest available price of the index.
Daily Change
The absolute point change compared with the previous trading day's close.
Daily Change %
The percentage gain or loss compared with the previous trading day's close.
15-Minute Change %
The percentage movement compared with the previous 15-minute candle.
1-Hour Change %
The percentage movement compared with the value four 15-minute candles ago.
4. Colour-Coded Market Performance
The dashboard uses a simple colour scheme:
• Green: Positive price movement.
• Red: Negative price movement.
• Neutral: No meaningful movement or unavailable data.
This allows traders to identify stronger and weaker indices at a glance.
5. Customisation Options
The indicator provides several customisation options:
• Change the dashboard position.
• Adjust the table text size.
• Show or hide individual columns.
• Customise positive, negative and neutral colours.
• Change the header, symbol and value cell backgrounds.
• Modify individual TradingView ticker symbols through the indicator settings.
6. Data Calculation
To keep data requests more efficient, the dashboard uses 15-minute data for all instruments.
The calculations are structured as follows:
Metric Calculation
LTP Latest available 15-minute value
Daily Change LTP minus previous daily close
Daily Change % Daily change divided by previous daily close
15m Change % Current value compared with previous 15-minute candle
1H Change % Current value compared with four 15-minute candles ago
The displayed values depend on the availability and update frequency of the data feed provided by TradingView.
7. How Traders Can Use This Dashboard
Identify sector strength: Look for sectors outperforming the NIFTY 50.
Identify sector weakness: Monitor sectors showing sustained negative performance.
Understand market sentiment: Observe India VIX alongside NIFTY and BANK NIFTY.
Monitor global cues: Use Dow Jones Futures as an additional reference for global market direction.
Confirm intraday momentum: Compare 15-minute and 1-hour changes to understand whether a sector's movement is strengthening or weakening.
