Square Root Angle Zones

Square Root Angle Zones draws support and resistance levels with the square-root angle method (the Gann Square of 9 formula), starting from a High and a Low that you choose.
How it works
Each level moves the square root of the price by an angle, then squares it back:
The "Angle scale" setting turns degrees into the number that is added or subtracted:
Example with a Low of 4,000 (√4000 = 63.246): the 360° buy level is (63.246 + 1)² = 4,127.49 on ÷ 360, and (63.246 + 2)² = 4,256.98 on ÷ 180.

Angles and circles
Turn each angle from 45° to 360° on or off. "Circles" repeats the chosen angles further out: 2 circles adds 405° to 720°, up to 4 circles (1440°).
Labels
Each line is labeled with its angle (price optional). All labels line up in one column to the right of the last candle. Lines at almost the same price share one label, one angle per row, so the text doesn't overlap.
How to use
Choose the timeframe and the source, then watch how price reacts at the levels: sell zones under the High and buy zones over the Low, or both directions from one point. Use them as reference zones together with your own analysis and confirmation.

How it works
Each level moves the square root of the price by an angle, then squares it back:
- Sell / down levels: Price = (√High − angle)²
- Buy / up levels: Price = (√Low + angle)²
The "Angle scale" setting turns degrees into the number that is added or subtracted:
- ÷ 360: 45° = 0.125, 90° = 0.25, 180° = 0.5, 360° = 1
- ÷ 180 (classic Square of 9): 45° = 0.25, 90° = 0.5, 180° = 1, 360° = 2
Example with a Low of 4,000 (√4000 = 63.246): the 360° buy level is (63.246 + 1)² = 4,127.49 on ÷ 360, and (63.246 + 2)² = 4,256.98 on ÷ 180.
High and Low source ("Calculate from")
- Last candle: the High and Low of the last completed candle of the chosen timeframe (for example, yesterday's daily candle). New levels start with every new candle of that timeframe.
- Swing High / Low: the latest confirmed swing high and swing low on the chosen timeframe. "Swing strength" is the number of candles needed on each side. A swing is used only after it is confirmed.
- Chosen candle: the candle of the chosen timeframe that contains the time you pick (you click it on the chart when you add the indicator). It is used once that candle has closed.
Lines from
- High and Low: sell lines down from the High and buy lines up from the Low.
- High only / Low only: lines up and down from that one point.

Notes and limitations
- Only completed candles of the chosen timeframe are used, so the levels do not repaint and do not change while a candle is forming.
- The timeframe must be the same as or higher than the chart's timeframe.
- Levels use standard candle prices even on Heikin Ashi or other special chart types.
- The distance between levels grows with the square root of price. On very low-priced symbols the steps can be large compared with price, and sell levels that would fall below zero are skipped.
- "Periods to keep" sets how many past sets of levels stay on the chart. Older lines end where the next set begins.
- The levels are mathematical reference points. They do not predict direction and are not buy or sell signals.
What is different
- The High and Low come from a timeframe you select: its last completed candle, its confirmed swings or any candle you pick, without repainting.
- Sell levels are tied to the High and buy levels to the Low, or both directions come from one point.
- You can switch between the ÷ 360 and classic ÷ 180 angle scales and extend up to four circles.
- Labels of levels that land together are merged into one clean, aligned column.
