Yesterday, Gold printed a new local low just above the 4000 figure, reaching its lowest level of the year and breaking below the March panic low around 4100.
At the time of writing, the market is rebounding and trading once again near the 4100 zone.
From a trend perspective, things remain very clear.
Gold is in a bearish trend.
This is a view I have maintained for more than a month, and the recent breakdown below major support levels only reinforces that perspective.
The more interesting question now is not the trend itself, but what comes next in the short term.
Because while the overall direction remains lower, markets do not move in a straight line forever.
After a drop of roughly 3500 pips in only three days, a recovery phase would be perfectly normal and, in fact, healthy from a technical perspective.
That doesn't automatically make Gold bullish.
It simply means the market may need to correct before deciding on the next larger move.
Trading View
My broader view remains bearish.
So, if the current rebound continues and reaches the 4200 zone, I will look for selling opportunities in the direction of the dominant trend.
On the other hand, if Gold drops once again toward the 4000 area, I will look for buying opportunities, expecting at least a technical rebound from such an important psychological level.
For now, with Gold trading around 4100, I don't see a trade that properly justifies the risk.
Sometimes the hardest decision in trading is doing nothing.
And sometimes it is also the most profitable one 🚀
