After the recent drop from 4,760–4,770, the structure on XAUUSD has shifted. The market is now compressing below 4,720, and I’m watching for a potential rejection from here. The previous bullish structure has been broken, and while the price is testing the 4,680–4,700 zone, I’m leaning bearish in the short term. If the market fails to clear this zone and starts to reject, I expect a continuation to the downside.
The main target for this move would be 4,640–4,630, where significant liquidity lies beneath the current range. If price reaches this level and holds, we could see further downside momentum, possibly extending lower if the structure continues to favor the bears.
The invalidation point is clear: a strong close above 4,750 would invalidate the bearish bias and suggest a shift in momentum. If the price breaks through this resistance and holds above 4,750, we may see a push back toward the 4,770–4,780 area.
At this stage, the focus is on how the market behaves around 4,700 and 4,720. If we see a clear rejection at these levels, the next move will likely be down toward the 4,640 target. If not, the bulls may regain control. What are your thoughts on the current market structure?
