This indicator displays the annual performance of the U.S. stock market by sector.

Selected major sectors

IND – Industrials
TECH – Technology
HTH – Healthcare
FIN – Financials
COMM – Communication Services
CONSCYC – Consumer Cyclical
CONSSTAP – Consumer Staples
ENERGY – Energy
REAL ESTATE – Real Estate
BASMAT – Basic Materials

The data is presented in a table below the main chart.

Green cell — the sector was bullish during that year
Red cell — the sector was bearish during that year

The table automatically sorts sectors by performance, placing the best-performing sector at the top for each year.

NOTE:
Annual performance is calculated starting from 2020 by default (arbitrarily chosen) and can be adjusted by the user.
