Volume Radar: Relative Volume & Delta [Artio]

Volume doesn't mean much until you know what you're comparing it with. A busy candle during the US open is normal; the same activity in a quiet session may be worth a closer look.
I built Volume Radar to answer two questions without turning the chart into a dashboard: how unusual is this volume right now, and is price actually responding to it?
What the panel shows
How I read it
A 2.0x RVOL reading means the observed volume is roughly twice its active reference. It doesn't mean the price must break out.
When volume is high and estimated delta points in one direction, I look at what price actually did. If price does not follow, the panel shows CONFLICT. That is a reason to investigate possible absorption or a failed push, not a confirmed order-flow event or an automatic trade entry.
The small LIVE number can differ from the label above the newest column. LIVE compares matching completed portions of candles; the column label shows volume accumulated so far against a full-candle baseline. They answer different questions.
Markets and settings
Market AUTO recognizes CME Group futures, cryptocurrency symbols, and CFD/OTC-style feeds using TradingView instrument information. It adjusts lower-timeframe resolution and the initial delta/price-response thresholds. Thresholds are starting heuristics, not backtested trading edges.
English is the default interface language. Russian can be selected in Language / Язык. LOG and LINEAR volume displays are available.
Data limits
Δ≈ is an estimate from smaller candles, not bid/ask aggressor data from a trade tape. On Forex/CFD charts, available volume may be tick activity rather than exchange-traded contracts. This panel does not show a volume profile, POC, order book or a separate CVD plot. Intrabar availability and the provider's realtime feed may also affect readings; closed-bar alerts are used for stability.
Open-source Pine Script v6. Built for practical volume context, not buy/sell calls.

What the panel shows
- Relative Volume (RVOL) — each column measures volume against a historical median, rather than displaying raw volume alone.
- Time-of-day baseline — on supported intraday charts, the indicator compares volume with previous days at a similar time in the exchange's time zone. If there isn't enough history yet, it falls back to a rolling median.
- LIVE reading — the current candle is compared at the same stage of its development using completed lower-timeframe bars. When available, the LIVE reference is adjusted for time-of-day activity.
- Estimated Delta (Δ≈) — lower-timeframe candle direction is used to approximate directional buying or selling pressure.
- Price response — the arrow summarizes whether estimated delta and the price move agree, disagree or remain balanced.
- Closed-bar alerts — optional alerts for RVOL surges and changes in the delta/price response.
