MM FLOW Buy and Sell Volume plus Fast MACD
MM FLOW shows who won each candle, buyers or sellers, plus a fast MACD in the same pane that helps spot when momentum is about to turn.
WHAT YOU SEE
• White columns up = buy volume (trades at the ask)
• Blue columns down = sell volume (trades at the bid)
• The side that won the candle is solid and the losing side is faded, so you can see who is in control at a glance.
• Pink line = MACD, green line = signal line (default 5 / 35 / 5)
• Optional triangles mark MACD turns. With "Only real turns" on, a turn up only counts below zero and a turn down only counts above zero, which cuts out small wiggles.
HOW THE BUY/SELL SPLIT WORKS
1. Real bid/ask footprint data, when your plan includes it (TradingView Premium and up).
2. If footprint data isn't available, it splits volume using lower-timeframe candles (seconds data on low timeframes where your plan allows it).
3. As a last fallback, it splits by where the candle closed within its range.
Footprint mode is the most accurate. The fallbacks are estimates.
ABOUT THE MACD
MACD is measured in price and volume in contracts, so the MACD is rescaled to fit the pane. The shape and the crossovers are exact; the raw numbers are not. Use "MACD size" to make it bigger or smaller.
ALERTS
• MACD crossed up / down
• Big volume candle with buyers or sellers in control (1.5x average)
• Delta flipped positive / negative
HOW I USE IT
I watch for the losing side fading out while the MACD starts curling. That often shows up just before price changes direction at a level. It works best as confirmation at your own levels, not as a signal by itself.
SETTINGS TIPS
• Style: Mirror (buys up / sells down) or Stacked (one column)
• Footprint ticks per row only changes row size, not the totals (NQ/ES: 4 ticks = 1 point)
