ADX drives opacity only, never a formula. The window auto-adjusts by market (TW/KR 60, JP 75, else 50). Use as a directional/timing aid; suitability varies by symbol.

A BBP line (original Dreadblitz formula, BullTrend minus BearTrend over ATR) is linearly mapped onto the DI columns' own rolling N-bar range, so the line and columns share one scale and align visually; being a linear map, it preserves the line's shape. DI net-direction columns plot (DI+ minus DI-)/(DI+ plus DI-), bounded to ±1, cyan above zero and pink below, one side at a time.
Buy/sell dots fire on a three-way confluence and alternate: a DI-momentum BBP zero-cross, DI direction, and SAR must all agree before a dot is marked. Two of the three (the DI-momentum BBP and SAR) are hidden and used only for the signal; the displayed BBP line does not drive it. Dots are drawn directly on the BBP line.
ADX never enters a formula — it only drives the opacity of the line and columns (solid in strong trends, faint in chop). The window auto-adjusts by market (TW/KR 60, JP 75, else 50).
Use as a directional and timing aid. Suitability varies by symbol; use your own judgment, and past behavior does not guarantee future results.

- DI columns: net direction, (DI+ − DI−) / (DI+ + DI−), then weighted by ADX/100. The sign gives the side (cyan above zero, pink below); the ADX weight stretches the columns toward ±1 in strong trends and pins them toward zero in chop, so trend strength and direction are read in one bar.
- BBP line: the original Dreadblitz Bull Bear Power (BullTrend − BearTrend, ATR-scaled), linearly mapped onto the DI columns' own N-bar range so the line and the columns share a scale without distorting the line's shape. Amber line, display only.
Signal (three-way confluence, two inputs hidden)
A buy or sell dot requires all three to agree, then alternates buy/sell so entries and exits stay clean:
- a hidden DI-momentum BBP crossing zero,
- DI net direction (the columns),
- Parabolic SAR.
The displayed BBP line does not drive the signal — it is there for context and divergence. Dots sit exactly on the BBP line at the signal bar.
Lookback window
The BBP and DI-momentum ranges use a fixed lookback (default 50, roughly a quarter on a daily chart). Adjust it in the settings to look over a shorter or longer window.
Notes
ADX never enters a signal formula; it only weights column height and drives opacity (stronger trend = bolder). This is a context and confluence tool, not a standalone system and not financial advice.
Update note (for the release)
Two changes in this release. Columns are now weighted by ADX/100, so a clean direction in a weak trend no longer shows a full-height column — direction and trend strength are visible together. And the lookback window is now a single fixed value (default 50) instead of auto-selecting by market, since this is meant for analysis rather than execution. Sign, colours and signals are unchanged.

There is no min/max normalisation and no log compression, so zero is the real zero, not a window midpoint.DI-Power is the Wilder directional system condensed into one value: (DI+ minus DI-) weighted by ADX scaled to a 0..1 strength factor. Above zero means DI+ leads (bullish direction), below means DI- leads (bearish), and the magnitude grows with trend strength because ADX acts as the weight. It is drawn as semi-transparent columns whose transparency you can set.
BBP is Elder's Bull Bear Power, (high minus EMA) plus (low minus EMA), divided by ATR so it is comparable across symbols and volatility regimes. Above zero means buying pressure has the upper hand, below means selling pressure does. It is drawn as solid columns. Because the two series are kept on their own raw scales, DI-Power runs an order of magnitude larger than ATR-normalised BBP, so BBP sits as a smaller column near zero; turn the DI columns off if you want the pane to rescale around BBP alone.
Divergence dots compare the two: swings are anchored on DI-Power (the trend series) and BBP is checked at those same swings. A bullish dot is placed below when DI-Power makes a lower low while BBP makes a higher low; a bearish dot is placed above when DI-Power makes a higher high while BBP makes a lower high. Each dot is confirmed by a fixed number of bars and then stays put, so it does not repaint, at the cost of printing a few bars late.
Honest notes: both series are derived from price and volume-free OHLC, so this is lagging confirmation, not prediction, and single-pane divergence is an early warning that is noisy in trends. It says nothing about price structure on its own, so confirm against price and your other tools before acting. Nothing here is financial advice.
