As Good As It Gets Pivot Arrows
Description
- As Good As It Gets Pivot Arrows is a clean, high-precision pivot detection indicator that plots bright green upward triangles for confirmed pivot lows (buy signals) and red downward triangles for confirmed pivot highs (sell signals), and comes with customizable pivot length. Additionally, it optionally displays white dots for double-top/double-bottom pivots within a user-defined percentage tolerance.
Key Features
- Exact replication of TOS pivot high/low triangles (12-arrow style)
- Customizable pivot length (default 7)
- Option to ignore the last unconfirmed bar
- Toggle triangles and/or pivot dots independently
- Double-top/bottom detection with adjustable % tolerance (0.1% default)
- Clean visual signals with no repainting on confirmed pivots
What Makes It Unique
- This script delivers the pivot arrow behavior (including brighter lime-green buy triangles) that many traders love, with added flexibility: individual toggles for triangles/dots, double-top/bottom detection, and full customization. Unlike generic pivot indicators, it has precise confirmation logic while remaining fast and non-repainting on closed bars.
How to Use and Trade With It
- Adjust "Pivot Length" to suit your timeframe (7–14 common)
- Enable/disable triangles or dots as preferred
- Fine-tune "% Tolerance" for double-top/bottom sensitivity
Trading Signals
- Green upward triangle below bar: Confirmed pivot low → potential LONG entry or support
- Red downward triangle above bar: Confirmed pivot high → potential SHORT entry or - resistance
- White dots: Double-top (above) or double-bottom (below) within tolerance → higher-probability reversal zones
Best Practice
- Use triangles for primary swing entries/exits
- Combine with volume, trend filters, or support/resistance for confirmation
- Works on any timeframe; shorter lengths for intraday scalping, longer for positional trading

As Good As It Gets — Major Update (January 02, 2026)What's New:
• Added beginner-friendly alert conditions!
You now get two clean, dedicated options when setting up alerts:
- AGAIG Buy Arrow
- AGAIG Sell Arrow
How to Set Up Alerts (takes ~10 seconds):
1. Add this updated indicator to your chart.
2. Right-click the indicator name (top-left of chart where it says "As Good As It Gets").
3. Select "Add alert on As Good As It Gets...".
4. Choose either "AGAIG Buy Arrow" or "AGAIG Sell Arrow" (or create two separate alerts for both).
5. Set trigger to "Once Per Bar Close".
6. Turn on your notifications (push to phone recommended).
7. Click Create.
Done — you'll get instant, reliable phone pings on every confirmed signal!
Repainting Clarification:
The main triangle arrows (green up for buy, red down for sell) are NON-REPAINTING.
They only appear after full pivot confirmation (using the offset based on your "Length" setting, default 7). Once an arrow plots at candle close, it stays forever — no disappearing or moving, even on historical charts.
The optional white pivot dots can adjust slightly (ZigZag nature), but the core buy/sell arrows you trade are completely solid and perfect for alerts.
Trade them at candle close with trend confluence for best results.
Enjoy the clean signals and hassle-free alerts! 📈🔔
Happy trading!

DESCRIPTION:v3.0 UPDATE — Three Signal Modes
This update adds a Signal Mode engine with three detection
methods so the indicator works for any trading style, from
scalping to swing trading.
WHAT'S NEW
Signal Mode Dropdown (Settings → Signal Mode):
Confirmed — The original pivot detection logic. Waits for
full left/right bar confirmation before firing. Signals are
never wrong about being a local pivot, but they arrive after
the confirmation window completes. Best for swing traders and
higher timeframes (15m, 1H, 4H, Daily) who value certainty
over speed. Labels display as C: BUY / C: SELL.
Zero-Lag — Fires on the forming bar using momentum-reversal
detection. No lookforward bars, no delay. When momentum
crosses zero and the bar closes in the signal direction, the
signal fires immediately. Built for scalpers on fast
instruments and lower timeframes (1m, 2m, 5m). Labels display
as Z: BUY / Z: SELL.
Confirmed + Preview — Runs both engines simultaneously. Alert
labels (A: BUY / A: SELL) appear instantly on the current bar
when the zero-lag engine detects a reversal. Confirmed labels
(C: BUY / C: SELL) stamp onto the chart when the full
lookback window validates the pivot. This gives you the early
heads-up and the confirmed stamp side by side.
ADDITIONAL IMPROVEMENTS
• All arrow markers converted to zoom-proof labels — they
hold their shape and size at every zoom level
• Independent toggles for Triangle Arrows, Alert Labels, and
Buy/Sell Labels — mix and match to suit your chart
• Arrow size control (tiny through huge) for visibility on
any screen
• Alert label size control (independent from arrow sizing)
• Directional alert label colors — green background for
A: BUY, red background for A: SELL with black text for
maximum contrast on dark charts
• Sensitivity control for Zero-Lag mode (Low / Normal / High)
adjusts how quickly the momentum engine responds
• On-chart mode tag shows which signal mode is active
• Full alert support for all three modes — both
alertcondition() for the Alerts dialog and runtime alert()
calls
HOW TO USE
For scalping (MNQ, MES, MYM, or any fast-moving instrument
on 1-5 minute charts): Set Signal Mode to Zero-Lag. You want
to be in the trade when the move starts, not after it
confirms.
For swing trading (any market on 15m+ timeframes): Set Signal
Mode to Confirmed. You have time — let the pivot prove itself
before you commit.
For both: Set Signal Mode to Confirmed + Preview. Watch the
A: labels for early entries, use the C: labels as validation.
The Sensitivity setting in Zero-Lag mode controls the EMA
length used for momentum calculation. Normal is the balanced
default. Low filters out smaller turns for fewer but more
selective signals. High catches more turns, including smaller
reversals.
This indicator works on any liquid market — futures, forex,
crypto, equities, indices. Apply it to the timeframe that
matches your trading style and use it with trend confluence
for best results.

As Good As It Gets Pivot Arrows v3.0 — UpdateWhat's New:
Added an independent "Show Mode Tag" toggle to the Visual Options group. You can now hide the on-chart mode tag (AGAIG: Confirmed / Zero-Lag / Confirmed + Preview) without affecting your arrows or any other visual element. All five visual toggles are now fully independent of each other.
Why:
A user pointed out that disabling the mode tag in settings was also hiding the arrows — not the intended behavior. The mode tag was hardcoded with no separate visibility control. Now it has its own checkbox, defaulting to ON so nothing changes for existing users.
Special thanks to Mathias_Ickert for the feedback that led to this fix. Community input like this makes the indicator better for everyone.
How to Use:
Settings → Visual Options → uncheck "Show Mode Tag" to remove the on-chart label while keeping all arrows and signals visible.
Visual Options (all independent):
— Show Triangle Arrows
— Show Alert Labels
— Show Buy/Sell Labels
— Show Pivot Dots
— Show Mode Tag ← NEW
Choose the signal mode that matches your trading style and use it with trend confluence for best results.

UPDATE: June 1, 2026AGAIG v3.1 — Cleaner arrows, simpler display
Arrow placement rebuilt. Buy and sell arrows now anchor just outside the candle — buys below the low, sells above the high — so they stay clear of the wick at every zoom level. Symmetric and tidy on any chart.
New Signal Display control. One setting with three choices — Arrows Only, Labels Only, or Labels and Arrows — so you can pick the look you want without juggling separate checkboxes.
Plain-English labels. Signals now read in full: Zero-Lag Buy/Sell, Confirmed Buy/Sell, and Preview Buy/Sell, so the signal type is clear at a glance.
Streamlined settings. Removed redundant toggles and obsolete offset inputs for a cleaner, more intuitive panel.
Works on any market and any timeframe.

Update: June 2, 2026AGAIG v3.2 — Cleaner labels and leader arrows
Three clear display modes. Signal Display now offers Arrows Only (just the triangle), Labels Only (a compact stamp), or Labels and Arrows (the stamp plus a leader to the candle).
Leader arrows. In Labels and Arrows mode, a colored arrow runs from each label to the candle it marks, with the arrowhead landing right on the bar — the low for buys, the high for sells — so it reads as a pointer rather than a wick. Thickness is adjustable, and the leader can be turned off.
Compact stacked labels. Each label stacks the signal type, Buy/Sell, and direction triangle on their own centered lines — a tidy near-square stamp that sits close to the pivot instead of stretching across the chart.
Adjustable spacing. A "Label distance" control sets how far labels sit off the candle, scales to any instrument, and goes all the way down to touching.
Works on any market and any timeframe.

UPDATE: June 2, 2026 AGAIG Pivot Arrows — v3.3
This release restores independent label offset control for buy and sell stamps.
What's new:
Separate BUY label offset (ATR) and SELL label offset (ATR) inputs. Each side is positioned on its own — useful because the buy and sell arrows point opposite ways and often want different spacing.
Both offsets are ATR-scaled, so the chosen gap adapts automatically across instruments and timeframes instead of being locked to fixed points.
Lower either value to pull a stamp closer to the candle; set it to 0 to seat the stamp flush against the wick. Raise it to give the stamp more room on busy charts.
Defaults match the prior release (0.3 each), so existing layouts look the same until you adjust them.
Display modes (Arrows Only / Labels Only / Labels and Arrows) and the leader-line option are unchanged; in Labels and Arrows mode the leader spans whichever offset that side uses.
Works on any liquid market and timeframe.
Special thanks to community member Mathias for the clear feedback that prompted this refinement.

Update: June 2, 2026As Good As It Gets — Pivot Arrows | v3.5
This update adds a Major Swings Only filter to the confirmed pivot engine, for traders who want the arrows to mark the turns that matter rather than every minor wiggle.
What's new:
Major Swings Only (x ATR) — the engine now builds an alternating swing chain from confirmed pivots and marks a turn only once price reverses by your chosen ATR multiple from the prior swing. Smaller swings get absorbed instead of printed. Dial it from 1.0 to trim the noise up to 3.0 for only the big turns, or set it to 0 to show every confirmed pivot like before.
Non-repainting by design — each pivot is stamped on its true high or low bar and never moves. It appears once the reversal is confirmed, a few bars after the turn. That delay is the honest cost of marking a swing only after price has proven it.
Confirmed mode is now the default, so the indicator opens straight into the clean major-swing view.
How to use it: start at 1.5 ATR and watch a session. If it still marks turns you'd call minor, step up toward 2.0–2.5. The Major Swing ATR Length controls how quickly the threshold adapts to current volatility.
Works on any market and timeframe.

UPDATE: June 3, 2026AGAIG Pivot Arrows — v3.5.1 Update
Small but useful fix to the signal placement controls.
The BUY/SELL offset sliders now work across every Signal Display mode. Previously the offset only moved the stamp in Labels Only and Labels and Arrows — Arrows Only ignored it and hugged the wick no matter what you set. Now all three modes respect the same per-direction, ATR-scaled gap:
0 = arrow/label touches the candle (unchanged classic behavior)
> 0 = signal lifts off the candle by your set ATR amount
Because the offset is ATR-scaled, it auto-fits any instrument — the same setting reads cleanly on the MNQ, MGC, MCL, or anything else you chart. BUY and SELL stay independently adjustable so you can balance the two arrows pointing opposite ways.
Existing charts are unchanged unless your offset is non-zero. No other behavior touched — same engines, same filters, same alerts.

UPDATE — June 13, 2026As Good As It Gets (AGAIG) Pivot Arrows — v3.7.0
What's new:
Confirmed + Potential mode (now the default). You get an early "Potential" heads-up the moment a turn starts forming, right on the pivot bar. It stays a Potential while the swing develops, then automatically changes into a Confirmed signal once the pivot locks — same label, no clutter, nothing scattered back through history.
Strictly alternating signals. Confirmed signals now always alternate — a Confirmed Buy is always followed by a Confirmed Sell, then a Buy, and so on. One clean signal per swing. If price pushes to a new high or low before the turn completes, the Confirmed signal migrates to the truer high or low instead of stacking a second arrow.
Three modes to fit your style:
Confirmed — locked, non-repainting pivots.
Zero-Lag — fires on the forming bar for fast, real-time turns.
Confirmed + Potential — the early heads-up that upgrades to Confirmed.
Pivot Dots fixed. The optional swing high/low dots now sit right on the wick of each pivot, in a clean size, color-matched to the Buy/Sell signals.
Works on any liquid market and any timeframe. Reload the indicator to get the latest version.

UPDATE — June 14, 2026v3.8.1 — Zero-Lag Reversal Engine
The Confirmed + Potential mode now runs on an ATR-distance reversal engine. A turn confirms the instant price reverses a set ATR distance from the swing extreme — no fixed-bar lag — and a live Potential arrow rides the forming swing high/low, then locks into a Confirmed stamp on the reversal.
What's new:
Reversal Threshold (x 1.5 ATR default) input — tighter for scalping, wider for swing.
Live Potential → Confirmed two-layer signaling on every turn.
Display and housekeeping fixes (arrow glyphs, formatting).
Confirmed and Zero-Lag modes are unchanged. Works on any liquid market and timeframe.
