OPEN-SOURCE SCRIPT
Regime Pullback Breakout (MrMilesIL)
Straightforward trend continuation model. Uses Regimes to evaluate success of the trade setup. Only goes long.
1. Establish regime by checking 3 SMAs: Slow 200d, Medium 50d, Fast 22d.
2. Define pullback based on price action: close below the FastMA or Stochastics printing below a threshold.
3. Entry trigger is closing above the high of the bar with the lowest low in the last x bars.
It doesn't need to be more complicated than this.
Defaults to investing $25k for stocks & ETFs and 1 contract for futures. Designed for swing trading on daily charts.
