Open Type with Measured Outcomes

Classifies the regular-session open of index, rate, metal, energy, grain, currency and crypto futures into the classic open types, and shows what the same session did afterwards after that open type in this market since 2022, next to the value over all sessions.
WHAT IT SHOWS
- A neutral box around the first 30 minutes of the regular session and a label with the open type: Open-Drive, Open-Test-Drive, Open-Rejection-Reverse, or Open-Auction (inside or outside the prior session's range). No colour, arrow or side is drawn; the side of the move is never stored.
- A table with six outcomes for that open type: range above its recent median, initial balance traded beyond on one side only, on both sides, close inside the prior session's value area, session high or low made in the first hour, and in the last hour.
- Each cell: the rate with its sample size (n), its 95% interval and the rate over all sessions of the market in the same period. When the interval holds the all-sessions value, or the cell does not pass the false-discovery control of its table, it reads "same as chance". Under 30 cases it reads "few cases".
HOW IT WORKS
- R = median high-low range of the 20 previous sessions, known before the open. O = first price of the session.
- Tolerance = 0.05 R (never less than one tick). Drive = 0.20 R.
- Open-Drive: the near side stays within the tolerance of O, the far side travels at least the drive and minute 30 closes at least half of that excursion away from O. Open-Test-Drive: the near side printed first and travelled more than the tolerance but at most the drive, then the far side travels at least the drive. Open-Rejection-Reverse: both sides travel more than the tolerance and minute 30 closes on the side opposite to the first extreme. Open-Auction: everything else.
- It reads 1-minute bars (the chart's own on a 1-minute chart, 1-minute intrabars otherwise; a lighter "chart bars" option is approximate). The statistics in the table are embedded from our own measurement on historical 1-minute data and refreshed with each update of the script.
LIMITS
- Size, frequency, location and time only. It never says which way the market may move and it is not a signal or a recommendation.
- Continuous charts are not adjusted for contract rolls, so the first session after a roll can classify differently from our table.
- Past frequencies; they do not predict the next session.
Languages: Spanish, English and Portuguese (input). Alerts: when the open is classified, and one per open type.
