Multi VWAP (D/W/M/Y) [Quanty]
Four volume-weighted average prices in one indicator: today's, this week's, this month's and this year's. Each line restarts at the first bar of its period and is the volume-weighted average of the typical price, (high + low + close) / 3, since then. It shows the average price at which that period has traded so far, weighted by volume. Price above or below a line is context for reading the chart.
HOW TO READ IT
The four lines are told apart by colour and width: D (day) 2 px, W (week) 2 px, M (month) 3 px, Y (year) 4 px. The same letter sits at the right end of each line, in the line's colour. The default palette, Aurora, runs from a light sky blue (D) through cobalt (W) and orchid (M) to a deep indigo (Y): the longer the period, the darker the line. All colours are opaque. The indicator reads your chart's background and switches to a second set of colours on dark charts, so the lines stay readable on both light and dark charts.
In the settings you can switch each period on or off and choose another palette: Studio (gold, blue, violet, charcoal), Slate (graphite, blue, charcoal, saffron) or Dusk (lavender, amber, denim, aubergine).
WHAT IS NOT DRAWN
A period that is not longer than one chart bar is not drawn: a daily VWAP on a daily chart would only be the bar's own typical price. A period that began before the first bar of your chart is not drawn either, because its average would start at the first bar and not at the start of the period. The chart holds a limited number of bars, so on small timeframes the year, and sometimes the month, can be cut. When that happens a one-line note on the chart names the missing period; a higher timeframe shows it. When a symbol has no volume data no line is drawn and the note says so.
At the first bar of a new period the line starts again; the jump to the new start is not drawn. The values come from your chart's own data, so they can differ a little between data feeds.
