Breakout Hunter [Multi-Factor]
Here's Breakout Hunter, a multi-factor breakout indicator built around what actually separates real breakouts from fakeouts. Rather than a single signal, it requires several conditions to align before it fires:
Consolidation base – Bollinger Band width must have been compressed recently (tight bases produce the strongest breakouts, per the volatility contraction pattern popularized by Minervini).
Price breakout – close crosses above the highest high of the prior 20 bars (Donchian/Turtle-style resistance).
Volume surge – volume must be at least 1.5x its 20-bar average, signaling institutional participation.
Trend structure – price above EMA 50, which is above EMA 200.
Momentum – RSI ≥ 55 so you're not buying into weakness.
A green "BO" label marks confirmed breakouts, a small yellow triangle flags breakouts on light volume (watch-only), and a status table in the corner shows which filters are currently passing. Alerts are built in for both signal types.
