Volume Profile Anatomies (D / B / P / Double Zone)

You know how volume profiles all kind of look like blobs, and people talk about "D-shaped" and "P-shaped" profiles like everyone's supposed to just see it? This indicator does the squinting for you — it builds a real volume profile from the chart's bars, finds the POC and value area, then politely tells you which of the four classic anatomies you're looking at.
The four shapes it recognises:
① D-shape — balanced market, normal volatility. The boring-but-healthy one.
② B-shape — balanced, but with strong short-term volatility. Two humps, POC sitting low.
③ P-shape — bull run momentum. POC parked up high.
④ Double Zone — the bimodal one. Two distinct peaks with a proper valley between them, i.e. consolidation with a split personality.
How it works-
Spreads each bar's volume across the rows it overlaps → builds the profile
Smooths it, finds the POC, then looks for a second peak (must be a decent size, must be far enough away from the main one)
If that second peak exists and there's a real valley between the two → Double Zone
Otherwise it checks where the POC sits in the range: high → P, low → B, middle → D
Green above the POC, red below, POC row in gold, value area solid, everything outside the VA faded
Live mode-
Runs on the last bar, draws the histogram beside price (left or right, your call), plus dashed VAH/VAL lines, a solid POC line, a trend arrow along the recent move, and a title + caption telling you what it found. There's also a diagnostics table with POC position as a %, second peak location, value area width, and bias — for the people who like numbers with their pictures.
Gallery mode-
This is the fun bit. It generates four synthetic profiles from gaussian mixtures, runs the same classifier and same renderer on them, then builds a believable candle path from the resulting levels (trend leg → consolidation around POC/VAH/VAL → breakout). Result: a 2×2 poster of the four anatomies, sitting to the right of your last bar.
⚠️ disclaimer-
This is a visualisation and pattern-classification tool, not a trading system. It doesn't predict anything, it doesn't know your risk tolerance, and it definitely doesn't know what the market's about to do. The gallery panels are synthetic illustrations generated for teaching purposes — they are not real market data and shouldn't be read as setups.
