WizTrader Trend Flow MTF

WizTrader Trend Flow MTF combines a two-speed price overlay with chart-relative timeframe roles and a chart-close pullback/recovery sequence.
Purpose
A count such as 3/5 up cannot distinguish an opposing short-horizon move from a loss of higher-horizon agreement. The dashboard therefore keeps the count and adds a context phase: two lower intervals show timing, the middle interval is the chart, and two higher intervals define context. Slow slope and the Fast/Slow order check whether the chart still supports that context. A recovery requires a previously observed counter-move. An initially aligned state without a previously observed pullback creates no recovery event.
How to use it
Calculation
Fast Flow (default 20) and Slow Flow (default 70) each start from two EMA stages of the close. RSI Body Response is always active: RSI(14) sets a signed pressure that moves an anchor inside the candle body, toward its lower side when RSI is above 50 and toward its upper side when it is below 50. If that anchor lies on the RSI side of the EMA base, a correction toward it is added. The correction target follows the RSI direction and is smoothly bounded using the greater of two ATR(14) and one minimum tick, then smoothed twice at half the base length, rounded with a minimum of two. The stored correction can temporarily retain its previous direction after RSI changes, overshoot price or delay a turn. The curve is a filtered reference, not a stop or forecast band.
Direction is the sign of the change versus the previous candle; exact equality is neutral. Each curve needs 3 x its length + 1 consecutive valid candles before reporting a direction (61 and 211 at defaults). Missing or invalid OHLC restarts this warm-up. RSI is derived from the same prices, so it is not independent confirmation.
Five timeframe tiles
Auto selects about 1/4, 1/2, 1, 2 and 4 times the chart interval, rounded outward to supported intervals: for example 15m / 30m / 1H / 2H / 4H on a 1H chart and 6H / 12H / 1D / 2D / 4D on a daily chart. At the smallest and largest intervals the available range takes priority; such edge layouts keep the tiles and vote alerts but have no context phase. Custom accepts five different durations; context phases require two increasing lower intervals, the exact chart interval in slot 3 and two increasing higher intervals.
Each tile runs the Fast calculation on its own source candles:
The header shows a direction when at least three of five agree, a neutral majority as neutral, and Mixed otherwise. If a tile is unavailable, it shows the data count instead. The count describes agreement between related timeframes, not a probability.
Context phases
The phase commits at chart close and needs all five Fast states and chart Slow. Both higher states must point the same way to define context. Chart support means Slow points with the context and Fast lies on the context side of Slow.
Missing data, split context, a context change or lost chart support clears the remembered pullback; a partial pause keeps it. Each recovery needs a new observed pullback.
Display options
Glow (Strong, Soft, Off) adds pixel halos around both curves; their brightness follows how consistently the direction repeats and is display only. Gradient Fill shades the space between Fast and Slow and fades toward Slow. Price Break Markers (off by default) mark completed closes that cross Fast Flow; wick-only crossings and a close exactly on the curve do not count.
Bar Colors (off by default) colors candles by Fast direction. Solid uses the Up, Down or Neutral color. Gradient blends from Neutral toward the direction color: Slow direction and the Fast/Slow order each add half of the support, scaled by direction continuity. Bar colors follow the filtered direction, not the candle's own open and close. On the open candle, curves, glows and bar colors are translucent previews that can change before close.
Alerts
Twelve conditions in four groups: Chart Trend Turn, MTF Alignment, Price Break and Context Recovery, each as Up, Down and Any. All require the chart's closing update; use Once Per Bar Close. Alignment fires when the selected minimum agreement (3-5 of 5, default 4) becomes newly satisfied with data for all five tiles. Recovery fires once per observed pullback. Hiding markers, the dashboard or glow does not disable alerts. Messages report the candle close, not a broker fill. Recreate alerts after changing code or settings.
Limits
Use standard, time-based price charts; synthetic chart types and tick intervals are rejected. Slower tiles need enough history: a monthly tile needs 61 monthly candles at default settings. Lower-timeframe data depend on TradingView's intrabar availability, account plan and feed; on 1-3 minute charts Auto uses seconds-based intervals, whose availability depends on the plan. Data revisions and reloaded history can change values after recalculation. Historical candles keep only their end-of-candle dashboard state.
This is a price-smoothing and directional-context indicator. It places no orders, manages no positions and makes no zero-lag or profitability claim.
Purpose

An initially aligned state without a previously observed pullback creates no recovery event.
How to use it
- Read Fast Flow for the chart direction: the Up color when the filtered value rises versus the previous candle, the Down color when it falls, Neutral when it is unchanged or still warming up. Small dots mark confirmed turns.
- Use Slow Flow and the gradient between the curves as slower chart context. The gradient shows which curve is on top, not slope direction.
- Read the five tiles for multi-timeframe agreement. Hover a tile to see which completed source candle it used.
- Read the context phase to separate a pullback inside an intact higher context from a loss of that context.
- Create alerts with Once Per Bar Close after the settings are final.

Each tile runs the Fast calculation on its own source candles:
- Chart interval: the state at chart close, otherwise the previous completed state.
- Higher intervals: the previous completed source candle, requested with a one-bar offset and lookahead, so the developing candle is never used.
- Lower intervals: the last completed intrabar inside the chart candle. If none has closed yet, the previous sample is kept with its original timestamp.
- CONTEXT SPLIT: the higher states disagree or one is neutral.
- CHART CONFLICT: chart support is missing.
- PULLBACK: context and support hold, but a lower or chart Fast state, or the close relative to Fast, opposes the context.
- PARTIAL: nothing opposes, but a neutral state or a close exactly on Fast prevents full alignment.
- ALIGNED: all five states agree and the close is beyond Fast in the context direction.
- RECOVERY: ALIGNED after a pullback observed at an earlier chart close, with uninterrupted context and support.
Missing data, split context, a context change or lost chart support clears the remembered pullback; a partial pause keeps it. Each recovery needs a new observed pullback.
