Overview
ICT SMC H4 FVG Retest — M15 Scalping Killzones is a multi-timeframe trading indicator designed to identify structured intraday setups based on:
* Confirmed higher-timeframe Fair Value Gaps
* M15 execution Fair Value Gaps
* ICT-style killzones
* Session highs and lows
* H4 buy-side and sell-side liquidity
* Market or limit-entry models
* Liquidity-based profit targets
The indicator is intended to be used on a 15-minute chart.
Its purpose is not to generate a large number of signals. It is designed to wait for a higher-timeframe imbalance, a valid departure from that zone, and a later retest during an active trading session.

The standard short setup follows this sequence:
1. A bearish H4 Fair Value Gap is confirmed.
2. Price moves below the H4 FVG.
3. Price later returns to the H4 FVG during an enabled killzone.
4. A bearish M15 FVG forms and overlaps the H4 zone.
5. The M15 candle closes and confirms the setup.
6. The indicator displays the proposed entry, stop-loss and target.
The bullish setup uses the opposite sequence:
1. A bullish H4 FVG is confirmed.
2. Price moves above the H4 FVG.
3. Price later returns to the H4 FVG during an enabled killzone.
4. A bullish M15 FVG forms inside or overlapping the H4 zone.
5. The M15 candle closes and confirms the setup.
6. The indicator displays the proposed entry, stop-loss and target.
The H4 FVG that is created during the initial market displacement is treated as a future retest zone. The indicator does not use the M15 FVGs that formed before the H4 candle was confirmed.

The indicator only uses confirmed higher-timeframe candles.
A new H4 FVG is therefore displayed only after the third H4 candle in the three-candle FVG sequence has closed.
This avoids using an H4 imbalance that may appear intrabar and disappear before the H4 candle closes.
The trade-off is intentional:
* the FVG is not shown as confirmed while the H4 candle is still forming;
* once the H4 candle closes, the confirmed zone appears on the M15 chart;
* the indicator then waits for a future retest.
The confirmed HTF FVG is used for signals and alerts. No unconfirmed HTF data is used for trade validation.

The large middle candle is usually the displacement candle, but its full body is not the FVG. The FVG is only the untraded space between the first and third candles.

A — Strict retest
Price must first close outside the HTF FVG, then return to the zone.
For a bearish FVG:
* price must close below the FVG;

A′ — Tolerant retest
A wick outside the HTF FVG is sufficient to validate the departure.
This mode produces more opportunities than the strict model but may accept less decisive departures.
B — Direct tap in killzone
No prior departure from the HTF FVG is required.
A direct touch of the HTF zone during an enabled killzone can become eligible if the remaining entry conditions are satisfied.
This is the least selective mode.

The proposed entry is the closing price of the confirmed signal candle.
The setup becomes visually active immediately after confirmation.
Limit at FVG edge
The indicator places a theoretical limit entry at the relevant edge of the M15 FVG.
For a bearish setup, the entry is placed at the lower boundary of the bearish M15 FVG.
For a bullish setup, the entry is placed at the upper boundary of the bullish M15 FVG.
If M15 confirmation is disabled, the relevant HTF FVG boundary is used instead.
The limit order remains pending for the selected number of M15 candles. If it is not filled before expiration, the order is cancelled and the HTF zone may become available for a later setup.

For a bearish setup, the stop-loss is placed:
* above the opposite side of the M15 FVG;
* plus the selected tick buffer.
For a bullish setup, the stop-loss is placed:

* the current session high or low.
A target must offer at least the selected minimum reward-to-risk ratio.
Fixed R:R fallback
If no eligible liquidity target is available, the indicator uses the selected fixed reward-to-risk ratio.

Previously swept session levels and H4 liquidity levels may still be used as targets.

A new pivot or a new completed session may later create a new active liquidity occurrence at the same or a similar price.
This mode is generally more selective because it targets liquidity that has not yet been consumed.

Each session is calculated in its native timezone, which prevents the levels from drifting when the United Kingdom or the United States changes between standard time and daylight-saving time.

* the levels can be used as potential liquidity targets.
The number of stored sessions can be adjusted in the settings.

WHAT IT DOES

The core idea is a single, disciplined sequence:
Confirmed H1 FVG → departure from the zone → retest during a killzone → persistent confirmation window → same-direction M5 FVG → entry, stop and target.
Rather than firing on every gap it sees, the indicator waits for structure and location to line up. The retest and the M5 confirmation are treated as two separate events that can occur on different candles: the retest arms a persistent window, and the M5 Fair Value Gap can confirm several bars later. This is what allows fast displacement moves to still produce a signal instead of being missed.

CONTINUATION — an optional model for when price keeps moving in the direction of the H1 FVG. It looks for fresh same-direction M5 FVGs while price is still within an ATR-based distance and age window of the source gap, with an optional local structure-break filter.
You can run Retest only, Continuation only, or both.

HOW TO USE

1. Add the indicator to an M5 chart.
2. Choose your killzones (London and New York AM are common starting points).
3. Pick a departure mode (A' Tolerant is a balanced default) and a retest confirmation mode (Wick Touch captures clean wick rejections).
4. Watch the dashboard: it shows whether the active H1 FVG is waiting for a retest, armed, or ready.
5. When a setup becomes READY, the indicator draws the entry, stop and target zones and prints a signal marker.
6. Set alerts on the conditions you care about.
Everything is a starting point. Settings should be adapted to your instrument, session focus and risk approach.

Pine Script Update — Aggressive Retest ModeThis update introduces a new three-level Retest Trigger selector, replacing the previous on/off option. Wick Tag is enabled by default, while the two more conservative modes remain available without requiring further code changes.
Wick Tag Mode
Once price has exited an H4 Fair Value Gap, a new entry can be triggered as soon as a wick returns into the zone. This mode does not require an M15 FVG or a rejection close, allowing for earlier and more aggressive entries.
Stop-Loss Placement
When no M15 FVG is available, the stop-loss is placed beyond the retest wick’s extreme:
Above the highest point reached inside the zone for short positions.
Below the lowest point reached inside the zone for long positions.
The H4 zone boundary is used as a fallback.
This represents the actual invalidation point and often provides a tighter stop, helping maintain an attractive risk-to-reward ratio despite the earlier entry.
Signal Validation
The Validate signals only at M15 close setting still applies:
Enabled — default: The signal is confirmed at the close of the M15 candle that wicked into the zone. No second candle is required, and the signal does not repaint.
Disabled: The alert triggers immediately when the wick enters the zone. This is faster but may repaint if price moves back out before the candle closes, so it is intended for real-time alerts rather than backtesting.
Built-In Safeguard
Price must first leave the H4 zone before a retest can trigger an entry. This prevents the initial contact during FVG formation from being incorrectly treated as a valid retest.
Important Trade-Off
Wick Tag may also capture wicks that pass straight through the zone without producing a genuine rejection. This increases the number of entries but may reduce the overall win rate. The tighter wick-based stop helps limit the risk per trade.
Evaluate the strategy using net profitability rather than win rate alone, ideally across at least 30 setups. For a more selective alternative that filters out some of the strongest pass-through moves, use Rejection Close mode.

ICT SMC HTF FVG Retest + Continuation — LTF v1.8Version 1.8 introduces a fully adaptable multi-timeframe structure. The same indicator can now be used for both higher-timeframe setups, such as H4 FVGs with M15 execution, and more frequent setups, such as M15 FVGs with M5 execution.
The selected “FVG timeframe” defines the timeframe used to detect confirmed, non-repainting Fair Value Gaps. The chart timeframe automatically becomes the lower execution timeframe.
Key improvements:
- Adaptive multi-timeframe operation.
- Support for H4 → M15, M15 → M5, and other valid HTF/LTF combinations.
- Automatic validation that the FVG timeframe is higher than the chart timeframe.
- Simultaneous tracking of multiple active FVGs.
- New FVGs no longer automatically replace older valid zones.
- Exact wick touches and adaptive near-touches are now detected separately.
- The near-touch buffer uses the greater of a minimum tick distance and a percentage of the execution-timeframe ATR.
- A dotted yellow boundary displays the accepted near-touch area around each FVG.
- Separate proximity alerts provide an early warning before the complete entry setup is validated.
- Entry alerts remain controlled by the selected retest trigger and confirmation settings.
- HTF liquidity pivots now automatically follow the selected FVG timeframe.
- Dashboard information now includes the active timeframe pair, number of tracked FVGs, touch type, distance from the zone, and current buffer size.
Retest triggers:
- Wick Tag: an exact touch or accepted near-touch is sufficient after a valid departure.
- Rejection Close: requires a fresh touch followed by a close back outside the FVG.
- LTF FVG: requires a fresh touch followed by a confirming Fair Value Gap on the execution timeframe.
Alert types:
- FVG Touch / Proximity LONG

Recommended configurations:
- H4 FVG with M15 execution: use an M15 chart and set “FVG timeframe” to 240.

For the earliest proximity warning, select “Intrabar” and configure the TradingView alert frequency as “Once per bar.” Entry setups can still be restricted to the execution candle close.
Important: TradingView alerts keep a snapshot of the script, its settings, symbol, and chart timeframe. Existing alerts must therefore be deleted and recreated after changing the FVG timeframe, chart timeframe, or script version.
