Gold is currently trading around $4,533 after a strong recovery from the previous low near $4,366. The chart shows a clear bullish displacement, followed by a short-term structure shift as price reclaimed the 1H range.
From an SMC perspective, the market has already swept sell-side liquidity, reacted from the lower FVG area, and is now moving above the rising trendline. The main intraday focus is between the buy zone around $4,497 and the sell scalping OB around $4,542.
The $4,497 area is important because it aligns with the rising trendline, short-term liquidity, and the previous reaction zone. If price pulls back into this area and buyers defend it, gold may continue toward the upper liquidity at $4,595.
The $4,542 area is the nearest sell scalping zone. If price taps this area and rejects strongly, a short-term pullback toward $4,500 can happen before the next direction is confirmed.

Gold must pull back into the $4,492–$4,500 zone and hold above the trendline. Entry is only valid after bullish rejection or lower-timeframe MSS / CHOCH confirmation.

Sell setup
Condition:
Gold must tap the $4,538–$4,545 sell OB and show rejection. Entry is only valid after bearish MSS / CHOCH on the lower timeframe.

My current view is bullish while gold holds above the 1H trendline and the $4,497 buy zone. However, buying directly into the sell OB is not ideal. The cleaner SMC setup is to wait for either a pullback into demand or a confirmed rejection from supply.
