The political ladder and PMI news give XAU a boost in the future
In the context of ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza, haven assets such as gold tend to be more favored by investors. In addition, the minutes of the Fed's January FOMC meeting show that the US Central Bank seems to be more concerned about the inflationary risks of lowering interest rates too early than the risks of keeping interest rates high for a long time. However, the market is still quite certain that interest rates in the US and other major economies will start to decrease this year.
