Institutional Liquidity & Macro Dealing Range [BSL/SSL + CVD]

Overview
Institutional trading revolves around liquidity, imbalances, volume delta, and dealing ranges. Retail traders often get caught looking at fragmented, isolated indicators that clutter the chart with conflicting levels.
The Institutional Liquidity & Macro Dealing Range [BSL/SSL + CVD] unifies the complete smart money execution framework into a single, cohesive architecture:
Dynamic Liquidity Engine (BSL / SSL): Maps Buy-Side and Sell-Side stops with automated sweep, purge, and wick-reclaim (Turtle Soup) tracking.
High-Timeframe Structural Anchors: Projects Previous Day High/Low (PDH/PDL) and Previous Week High/Low (PWH/PWL) benchmark levels.
Imbalance & Inversion Engine (FVG / iFVG): Detects Bullish and Bearish Fair Value Gaps, draws the 50% Consequent Encroachment (CE) midpoint, and dynamically converts broken gaps into Inversion FVGs.
Supply & Demand Order Blocks with Embedded CVD Wave: Identifies momentum-backed institutional bases and projects an internal Cumulative Volume Delta (CVD) flow ribbon to reveal buying/selling pressure inside the zone.
Premium & Discount Dealing Range with Delta Volume Analytics: Computes macro dealing boundaries, the 50% Equilibrium (EQ) line, and delivers a live heads-up Delta Volume table in real time.
Core Pillars & Technical Methodology
1. Swing Liquidity Engine (BSL & SSL)
2. High-Timeframe Major Liquidity
These levels act as primary draw-on-liquidity targets for day traders and swing traders.
3. Imbalance & Inversion Engine (FVG / iFVG)
4. Supply & Demand Order Blocks (CVD Flow Engine)
5. Premium & Discount Dealing Range & Delta Dashboard

Core Pillars & Technical Methodology
1. Swing Liquidity Engine (BSL & SSL)
- Pivot Detection: Uses configurable left and right bar lookbacks to determine genuine swing highs and swing lows.
- Stop Placement: Automatically projects Buy-Side Liquidity (BSL / Buy Stops) above structural highs and Sell-Side Liquidity (SSL / Sell Stops) below structural lows.
- Smart Sweep Cleanup: Choose between Fade & Mark Swept (turns the line dashed/faded with an institutional swept tag), Delete / Remove Line (keeps the chart spotless), or Keep Solid.
- Wick Sweep (Turtle Soup) Detection: Detects when price extends past a liquidity pool with a wick but closes back inside the level, signaling stop hunting and institutional absorption.
2. High-Timeframe Major Liquidity
- PDH & PDL: Real-time tracking of Previous Day High and Previous Day Low across sessions.
- PWH & PWL: Real-time tracking of Previous Week High and Previous Week Low.
These levels act as primary draw-on-liquidity targets for day traders and swing traders.
3. Imbalance & Inversion Engine (FVG / iFVG)
- Three-Candle Imbalance: Tracks Bullish BISI (Buy-Side Imbalance, Sell-Side Inefficiency) and Bearish SIBI (Sell-Side Imbalance, Buy-Side Inefficiency).
- 50% Consequent Encroachment (CE): Draws the exact median price of the gap box. Institutions frequently mitigate precisely to the 50% CE level before resuming directional expansion.
- Inversion Tracking (iFVG): When an active FVG fails and a full candle body closes through it, the zone flips polarities: broken bullish FVGs become bearish resistance, and broken bearish FVGs become bullish support.
Anti-Collision Architecture: Labels can be projected to the right edge ahead of price or at the origin, with configurable top/bottom alignment to ensure zero collision with the 50% CE line.
4. Supply & Demand Order Blocks (CVD Flow Engine)
- ATR Momentum Filter: Zones are only validated when accompanied by an institutional displacement candle whose body exceeds a user-defined ATR multiplier (default 0.7x ATR).
- Embedded CVD Flow Wave: Rather than displaying generic static boxes, the indicator renders a smoothed Cumulative Volume Delta ribbon inside each active zone. This enables traders to see whether aggressive absorption or distribution is taking place within the block.
- Optional Signals: Clean directional breakout markers when fresh supply or demand is created.
5. Premium & Discount Dealing Range & Delta Dashboard
- Dealing Range Boundaries: Calculates the active trading range over a customizable lookback period (default: 50 bars) with ATR-proportional boundary zones.
- 50% Equilibrium (EQ): Marks the mean price of the range. Buying below 50% represents Discount; selling above 50% represents Premium.
- Macro Range: An optional macro lookback (default: 200 bars) for higher-timeframe context.
- Real-Time Delta Dashboard: Displays a clean heads-up HUD displaying:
- Dealing Range Volume Delta percentage (Buyer vs Seller dominance).
- Macro Dealing Range Volume Delta percentage.
How to Trade with the Indicator
Model A: The Liquidity Purge & Reclaim (Turtle Soup Reversal)
- Liquidity Sweep: Price sweeps above BSL or below SSL.
- Reclaim: The sweeping candle leaves a wick and closes back inside the level, triggering a sweep marker.
- Confirmation: Look for an opposing FVG formation or an iFVG inversion.
- Target: The 50% Equilibrium line of the dealing range, followed by opposing external liquidity (SSL if shorting, BSL if buying).
Model B: CVD Order Block Mitigation & Trend Continuation
- Displacement: An institutional demand or supply zone is formed with an momentum breakout.
- Pullback: Price retraces back into the Order Block zone.
- CVD Confirmation: Inspect the internal CVD Flow Wave inside the block to confirm volume absorption in the direction of the trend.
- Execution: Enter on the retest of the zone or the 50% CE of an accompanying FVG.
Model C: Premium / Discount Equilibrium Mean Reversion
- Filter by Valuation: Do not initiate long positions in the Premium zone (above 50% EQ). Do not initiate short positions in the Discount zone (below 50% EQ).
- Execution: When price enters the lower Discount band while Delta Volume turns positive, seek long setups targeting 50% EQ and upper Premium.
Inputs & Configuration Guide
01. Swing Liquidity Engine:
- Swing Pivot Lookback (Left / Right): Default 5/5. Increase for macro swing points (e.g., 10/10), decrease for scalping (e.g., 3/3).
- Max Active Levels Each: Limits concurrent lines on chart to eliminate visual clutter.
- BSL / SSL Label Text: Customizable naming scheme (e.g., Buy Stops, BSL, External High).
02. Sweep Behavior & Cleanup:
- Action When Swept: Fade & Mark Swept, Delete / Remove Line, or Keep Solid.
- Sweep Marker Style: Clean inline text update, candle wick marker, or both.
- Detect Wick Sweeps: Toggle Turtle Soup purge-and-reclaim alerts.
03. High-Timeframe Major Liquidity:
- Toggle PDH/PDL and PWH/PWL lines.
04. Fair Value Gaps & Inversion:
- Toggle active FVG zones, 50% CE line, and iFVG inversion engine.
- FVG Label Alignment: Set to Right Edge (Ahead of Price) for zero candle overlap.
05. Supply & Demand Order Blocks:
- Momentum Multiplier: Minimum displacement candle body relative to ATR (default: 0.7).
- Show CVD Flow Wave: Toggles the embedded volume delta wave ribbon inside zones.
06. Premium & Discount Dealing Range:
- P&D Lookback Period: Range calculation period (default: 50).
- Show Macro Dealing Range: Extended macro boundaries (default: 200).
- Show Delta Volume Dashboard Table: Real-time buyer/seller volume delta metrics.
