There's a strategy where you can capture momentum and your trend, and you can ride it for years. Simply update your stop loss, and a single trade can carry you for a long time. This will save you brokerage costs and allow you to find early trades. There will certainly be a couple of stop losses, but when you find a trend, it'll be a big one.
