FOMC Decision Days (2024 - now)
Here’s what the Fed did:
2024: The Fed held the target at 5.25%–5.50% from January through July 2024. In September it cut 50bp to 4.75%–5.00%. It then cut 25bp in November and again in December, ending the year at 4.25%–4.50%.

2025: It held through July. It then cut 25bp in each of September, October, and December, which brought the range down to 3.50%–3.75%.

2026: The range stayed the same through the first five meetings of the year. July’s hold was split 9–3, with three dissenters wanting an immediate 25bp hike. On September 16 the Fed raised rates by 25bp to 3.75%–4.00%. That vote was 12–0.
