VWAP Reclaim Signals [bitpunk]

VWAP Reclaim Signals [bitpunk]
A cross of VWAP can disappear quickly. VWAP Reclaim waits for a second price step: cross the line, hold that side, then close beyond a level set by the crossing candle.
How to use it 🧭
A close at or through VWAP cancels the pending setup; a wick-only test is allowed. Confirmation must arrive within five following candles by default. A new anchor ends the watch earlier. An overextended confirmation is skipped without a later catch-up entry; another fresh cross is needed.
Read the chart 📊
The main line is HLC3 VWAP: typical price weighted by chart volume from the anchor's start. The narrow shaded envelope is visual context, not an entry zone. A dotted line is the crossing candle's fixed gate. The optional dashed limit follows completed VWAP values and shows the maximum permitted entry distance, not a target.
Useful settings ⚙️
On 1D, a weekly anchor leaves fewer candles for follow-through than a monthly anchor. Other daily multiples and weekly/monthly charts are unsupported.
Alerts and data 🔔
Use Any alert() function call for both directions, or Long Entry / Short Entry for one side. Enable Signals off hides entries and mutes alerts while the VWAP reference remains. Structure/panel controls and Normal / Enhanced are cosmetic. Recreate alerts after source or input changes.
Use standard time-based candles and reliable volume. Data must include an exact anchor opening and enough history for the 20-range scale. A partial anchor is skipped; missing/negative volume invalidates it until the next reset. A zero-volume candle cancels a pending entry.
Daily VWAP here weights daily candles, not individual intraday trades. Results depend on the feed and session; reclaiming VWAP does not guarantee continuation. This independent MPL-2.0 implementation adds a fixed price gate to the anchored VWAP cross.
A cross of VWAP can disappear quickly. VWAP Reclaim waits for a second price step: cross the line, hold that side, then close beyond a level set by the crossing candle.
How to use it 🧭
- Check the anchor. Intraday charts restart VWAP each exchange day. On a standard 1D chart, Daily Anchor defaults to Month; Week is optional. The panel shows which anchor is active.
- Wait for a fresh cross. A close moving from at/below VWAP to above it prepares a long. The crossing candle sets a fixed price gate; it does not create an entry yet.
- Wait for follow-through. A later close above that gate, still above VWAP and within the entry-distance limit, produces a white ▲. A downside cross followed by a later break below its gate produces ▼.

- Body Confirmation — on. Long uses the crossing candle's body high; short uses its body low. Off selects the wick high/low. The body rule can confirm earlier, including weaker moves.
- Acceptance Window — 5. Longer allows more following candles, but never extends across the anchor reset.
- Max Entry Extension (TR) — 1. Limits the entry close's distance from current VWAP using the mean of 20 true ranges before the cross. Zero disables the cap and can admit distant entries.
