Daily H8 Structure & Confirmation

The Daily H8 Structure indicator is designed to identify whether the market is accepting, rejecting, or remaining inside the previous 8-Hour (H8) range, providing a clear directional framework before looking for entries on lower timeframes.

Instead of chasing every move, this indicator focuses on market permission.

The previous H8 range acts as the day's anchor, allowing traders to determine whether buyers or sellers have gained control.

How It Works

The indicator automatically plots the previous:

🟡 H8 High
🟡 H8 Low
🔵 Previous Day High (PDH)

It then classifies the current daily candle into one of several market conditions.

🟢 H8 Breakout

Price closes above the previous H8 High.

This confirms:

Bullish acceptance
Breakout continuation
Buyers in control

Lower timeframes can then be used to search for long entries.

🔴 H8 Fakeout High

Price trades above the previous H8 High but closes back inside the range.

This signals:

Failed breakout
Buyer exhaustion
Possible bearish continuation
🟡 Inside H8 Range

Price remains inside the previous H8 range.

This means:

Neutral market
Previous directional bias remains
Wait for confirmation
🔻 H8 Breakdown (optional mirror logic)

Price closes below the previous H8 Low.

Confirms bearish continuation.

🟢 H8 Fakeout Low

Price sweeps below the previous H8 Low before reclaiming the range.

Often signals bullish reversal potential.

Philosophy

This indicator is not an entry indicator.

It answers one question first:

"Does the Daily structure allow me to look for trades?"

Once permission has been established, traders can move to their preferred lower timeframe (15m, 5m, 2m, 1m, etc.) and execute using their own strategy.

Daily H8 Structure helps traders stay aligned with higher-timeframe market conditions by identifying whether price has accepted, rejected, or remained inside the previous 8-hour range. Rather than predicting direction, it provides a structured framework for determining when lower-timeframe trade setups have higher odds of success.
