Liquidity Edge - Multi-Touch EQH/EQL & Heatmap Radar PRO

OVERVIEW & PURPOSE

The Multi-Touch EQH/EQL & Liquidity Heatmap Radar is an advanced market-structure tool designed to detect, track, and visualize resting liquidity pools formed by Equal Highs (EQH) and Equal Lows (EQL).

In modern algorithmic market theory, retail double-tops, triple-tops, double-bottoms, and multi-touch support/resistance levels represent major clusters of resting buy-stop and sell-stop liquidity. Rather than treating these levels as static support or resistance, this indicator identifies them as liquidity targets, tracks when they are tapped or swept, and renders thermal density heatmaps showing where capital is heavily concentrated.

CORE MECHANICS & ALGORITHMIC LOGIC

Multi-Touch Swing Point Clustering • Pivot Detection: Scans price action using a configurable swing pivot lookback. • Dynamic Tolerance Clustering: Rather than requiring exact penny-for-penny price equality, the algorithm groups nearby swing extremes into unified liquidity pools using one of three selectable tolerance modes:
Auto ATR Mode: Calculates a dynamic threshold based on live market volatility (ATR x Multiplier).
Fixed Points Mode: Groups swings within a fixed point threshold (ideal for index futures like NQ/ES).
Fixed Ticks Mode: Groups swings within a fixed tick window (ideal for commodities like Gold or Crude Oil). • Touch Qualification: A liquidity pool requires a minimum number of qualified touches (default 2 or 3) before it is confirmed and projected forward.

Liquidity Sweep ("Sought & Dropped") State Machine Once a multi-touch pool is confirmed, the engine continuously tracks price interaction across three distinct lifecycle states: • Resting / Open: The pool remains intact with resting stops undisturbed. • Swept / Purged: Price expands beyond the pool boundary, executing resting stops, and immediately closes back inside the prior range (a liquidity purge). The sweep level is highlighted to indicate institutional absorption. • Mitigated / Reclaimed: Price sustains a full candle close beyond the pool, confirming that liquidity has been distributed and permanently clearing the level from active memory.

Thermal Order Flow Heatmap To provide clear visual hierarchy, the indicator calculates the touch density of active pools. Levels with 3, 4, or 5+ touches generate higher opacity and thermal color shifts, highlighting high-probability target magnets.

HOW TO USE & TRADING APPLICATION

• Identifying Liquidity Targets:

Equal Highs (EQH) represent Buy-Side Liquidity (BSL) pools where breakout buyers and short-seller stop losses accumulate.
Equal Lows (EQL) represent Sell-Side Liquidity (SSL) pools where breakdown sellers and long-buyer stop losses accumulate.
Use these levels as high-probability take-profit targets for existing directional trades.

• Trading Liquidity Sweeps:

Watch for price expanding rapidly into an EQH/EQL pool during major session liquidity windows.
If price spikes through the pool but quickly prints an aggressive rejection candle (wicking through the pool and closing back inside), this signals a sweep. Traders look for counter-trend reversals or structural shifts back toward opposing liquidity.

ORIGINALITY & UNIQUE FEATURES

• Volatility-Adjusted Clustering: Adapts grouping tolerance dynamically to live ATR conditions across any asset. • Integrated Sweep State Tracking: Distinguishes between active resting pools, swept/wicked pools, and fully mitigated levels in real-time. • Thermal Heatmap Hierarchy: Visually scales level importance based on touch frequency rather than cluttering charts with identical lines.

TECHNICAL LIMITATIONS & DISCLAIMERS

• Pivot Lag: Swing point detection relies on a right-side pivot confirmation window (typically 3 to 5 bars) before a new swing point is mathematically confirmed. • High-Impact News: Rapid news-driven expansion candles can purge multiple pools instantaneously without providing clean re-entry opportunities. • Platform Drawing Limits: Active lines and boxes are capped at 500 drawing objects in compliance with TradingView limitations. • Analytical Overlay Disclaimer: This tool is an analytical price-action visualization overlay and does not generate automated execution signals or financial advice.
