RedK Effort Versus Results Pro (RedK EVEREX Pro)

█ RedK EVEREX Pro — Release Notes
EVEREX Pro is the Pro edition of my open-source indicator RedK EVEREX (Effort Versus Results Explorer)
█ Background
================
EVEREX Pro takes the idea to another level — from an analysis tool to a trader insight and decision-support tool. It expands the EVEREX engine with a truly customizable dual-timeframe (Context) module, with three Context methods (Multiplier, Timeframe, or Same TF longer length). It introduces customizable EVEREX Markers (set your own effort / result conditions for markers and alerts), adds new Context Alignment Markers and a full set of new alerts, all with an enhanced visual layout that uses many of the features introduced in Pine Script® v6.

█ A Quick Refresher: How the EVEREX Engine Works — in short
1. Inspect, evaluate and quantify price action, from several angles.
For every bar, the EVEREX engine looks at price in six ways:
- where the bar closed inside its own range
- the bar's body (open-to-close) compared to its range
- the bar's body compared to the average body in the lookback period
- where the bar closed inside the 2-bar range (this captures gaps)
- the close-to-close change compared to the 2-bar range
- the close-to-close change compared to the average change in the lookback period
These six reads are combined into one Relative Price value ("Result").
2. Volume = participation. The bar's volume is compared to its recent average to get a Relative Volume value ("Effort").
3. Effort x Result: the Result is weighted by the Effort. A strong price move on strong volume counts more than the same move on thinner volume.
4. The index: the weighted values are split into buying and selling flows, averaged, and turned into the Relative Rate of Flow (RROF). RROF moves between -100 and +100. Above zero, buyers are in control. Below zero, sellers are in control.
Note: EVEREX at its core is a very similar TA concept to a volume-weighted strength or pressure index, with one key difference: the engine works with a relative baseline. This means that in a period of strong price action and large participation (on any timeframe), EVEREX becomes very sensitive to any relative weakness, or deviation from the current strength levels. This often lets EVEREX show a possible reversal earlier than many other indicators.
5. Insights: the calculated Effort and Result values are also used to detect key VPA patterns, shown as EVEREX Markers: MegaBar, Ease of Move and Compression (explained below).
6. Context: to better serve traders who want to trade in the context of the broader trend, EVEREX Pro evaluates RROF on two timeframes at once: the current chart, and a slower "Context". You can choose how the Context is calculated using three different methods — or disable it completely and use EVEREX only on the current chart timeframe.
Note: EVEREX works on any timeframe and any instrument. For symbols with no volume data, the volume part is neutral and the index is built from price action only.
For more details about how EVEREX works, please review the description of the original RedK EVEREX. In the sections below, we dive directly into the incremental features in EVEREX Pro.

EVEREX Pro Indicator Settings

█ What's New in EVEREX Pro
1. Customizable Context Timeframe
Settings: Context Calculation → Context Method
A second, slower RROF line, drawn as a 2-color gradient-filled cloud behind the main RROF line.
Choose one of three methods, or None for single-timeframe mode:
This screenshot shows how to choose the preferred Context Method and how the Context Status panel reflects the current "resolved" selection

Note: a true higher-timeframe RROF (Multiplier or Timeframe) and a longer-length RROF on the same timeframe will not show the same values. For example, on a 1D chart with RROF length 10: Same TF with multiplier 5 (length 50) vs. a 5-day Context timeframe. Both describe a slower view, but the calculation uses different data series. Try both and use the one that fits your trading.
This screenshot shows the same chart with two different Context methods selected

2. Context Alignment Markers
Settings: Context Calculation → Show Context Alignment Markers
A small square is drawn when the current RROF and the Context agree: on the + Control Level when both are bullish, on the - Control Level when both are bearish. Nothing is drawn when they disagree.
EVEREX Pro Context Alignment Markers are a key feature that, when used properly, can help the trader spot setups where the current timeframe and the higher timeframe agree and are relatively strong, which supports better risk management.
Here's an example of an intraday trader who prefers to use the 15min as the analysis chart, and 2H as the "context" they need to align with - and how EVEREX Pro can support that scenario.

3. Context Status Panel
Settings: Context Calculation → Show Context Status Panel
A small panel in the top-right corner of the pane. It shows the Context method in use and the Context timeframe actually calculated (or the length, for the Same TF method). If a manually selected Context timeframe is lower than the chart timeframe, the panel shows a warning and the Context is hidden.
This screenshot shows a scenario where the user chooses "None" for Context Method. In that case the Context Plot and the Alignment Markers are disabled.

4. EVEREX Markers — fully adjustable: create your own EVEREX "special conditions" to use on the markers and to trigger alerts.
EVEREX Markers are one of the most popular features for many EVEREX users. They enable users to track the various VPA conditions as price action unfolds bar by bar - The defaults worked for many users - but there was always the desire to make them customizable.
Settings: EVEREX Markers
A master switch, plus a separate on/off switch and threshold for each marker:
This screenshot shows the 3 EVEREX Markers and the indicator setting where they can be customized to trigger on different values (the adjusted values will trigger the Marker on the chart and the associated alert)

Two very important notes here:
#1: Remember that EVEREX works with a relative baseline. This means that a strong price bar associated with big volume may not necessarily trigger a "MegaBar" - simply because that bar (or the volume associated with it) is weak "relative to" the current observed time window - while the same bar, the same price movement (or even less) and same or less volume, may trigger a MegaBar at a time where the overall action is weak.
This is exactly how EVEREX is designed to work.
The same applies to all other "Markers". With the ability to adjust the underlying conditions, you can now experiment with the values that trigger these Markers and adjust them to the levels that work specifically for you.
#2: Remember there is no tool that can claim to predict what the market will do next. These are all observations and common patterns that we use to help us design or manage a trade and improve risk management — they should not be used in isolation to make trading decisions.
5. EVEREX Bands
Settings: EVEREX Bands
The "equalizer" bands from the original EVEREX are still here for traders who like to read (the relative representation of) Effort and Result directly: Relative Volume and Relative Price, bar by bar. Choose the band scale (100 / 200 / 400) and show them joined or separate.
Note: I deliberately made "Separate" the default style in this release. There is no mathematical meaning in adding the (relative, normalized) nVol and nPrice values that these bands represent, as some YouTube reviews have done. The correct interpretation is what the EVEREX Markers provide (MegaBar, EoM, etc.), and nothing beyond that.
This screenshot shows EVEREX with the EVEREX (equalizer) Bands enabled on the right panel

6. Control Levels
Settings: Control Levels
Dashed +/- reference lines (default 25, minimum 10). These levels serve a double purpose: they set the level where the Alignment Markers plot (so the markers stay clear of the EVEREX Markers on the zero line), and they can be used as the threshold between "weak" and "serious" RROF values — or as overbought / oversold levels in a contrarian approach.
7. Color Settings
Settings: Relative Rate of Flow (RROF), Context Calculation, and Alignment & EVEREX Markers Colors
Choose the colors for RROF up/down (the RROF line uses a gradient between them), the Context cloud, and the Bullish / Bearish markers. For example, traders who use red for up and green for down can simply swap them.
================================================================================
█ Alerts
EVEREX Pro includes a total of 12 alerts. Every alert message includes the symbol name.
RROF (x3)
- RROF Crossing 0 Up — the current RROF crossed above zero: buying pressure in control.
- RROF Crossing 0 Down — the current RROF crossed below zero: selling pressure in control.
- RROF Crossing 0 — either one of the above.
Context Alignment (x3)
- Context Alignment Bull — the current RROF and the Context just became bullish together.
- Context Alignment Bear — the current RROF and the Context just became bearish together.
- Context Alignment Change — the alignment state changed (started, ended, or flipped).
EVEREX Markers (x6)
- MegaBar Bull / MegaBar Bear — a large price move on large volume, up or down.
- Ease of Move Bull / Ease of Move Bear — price moved easily, with little volume effort, up or down.
- Compression Bull / Compression Bear — heavy volume effort with a small price result.
Note: Context Alignment alerts need a Context, so they do not fire when Context Method is "None".

===============================================================================
█ Reading EVEREX Pro
EVEREX Pro is a strength indicator: it shows who is in control, buyers or sellers, and how strongly. EVEREX Pro does not track price levels — meaning you can see the EVEREX RROF line moving down while the price continues to move up, or vice versa. Combine EVEREX with other trend and momentum tools, such as MACD or moving averages, and classic trendline and support / resistance analysis, to gain the best insight.
A few examples of how EVEREX Pro can be used as part of your analysis. These are illustrations, not trading instructions.
Example 1 — Trading with the Context
When the Context is bullish, a dip of the current RROF below zero can be a pullback inside a larger move, not a reversal. The moment both lines are bullish again (a new bull alignment marker) shows that the short-term flow has rejoined the bigger picture.
In the below scenario, a trend trader uses the 1D timeframe with 1W context to look for opportunities to rejoin an existing multi-day uptrend.

Example 2 — Compression before the move
Compression bars show heavy volume with little price progress: effort without result. When this appears near a support or resistance area, it can mean that the market is absorbing orders. A MegaBar that follows, in the direction of the Context, often confirms which side won.
The screenshot below shows that scenario.

Example 3 — Watching for disagreement
When the current RROF and the Context disagree for a while, there are no alignment markers. This itself is useful information: the market has no clear direction on both timeframes, and many traders prefer to wait.
In the below scenario, a stock trader watches for disagreement to avoid opening new positions and awaits better setups when there's a strong context agreement. Note that there could be potential setups at a different timeframe pair (for example, the 15min / 1H pair for swing trading, which actually occurred for
NVDA recently)

EVEREX Pro is the Pro edition of my open-source indicator RedK EVEREX (Effort Versus Results Explorer)
█ Background
================
- The original RedK EVEREX is built on the basic concepts of Volume Price Analysis (VPA) and Richard Wyckoff's Law of Effort vs. Result. Volume is the effort and the price move is the result. When effort and result agree, the move is healthy and has momentum. When effort and result disagree, the imbalance often comes before a change in trend direction. These are valuable insights for traders and technical analysts.
- EVEREX turns these observations — often subtle or hidden in the price and volume data — into a number we can plot and read on the chart.
- Since its release back in 2023, RedK EVEREX has been selected as an Editors' Pick, has received more than 5,000 boosts and many positive reviews, and has been widely shared across the trading community.

A second, slower RROF line, drawn as a 2-color gradient-filled cloud behind the main RROF line.
Choose one of three methods, or None for single-timeframe mode:
- Multiplier — higher timeframe = chart timeframe x the multiplier. The result is snapped to the nearest timeframe supported by TradingView (shown in the Context Status Panel).
- Timeframe — manually select the Context timeframe. The selected timeframe must be equal to or higher than the chart timeframe (otherwise the Context is hidden and a warning is shown).
- Same TF (longer length) — uses the chart timeframe, with Context length = RROF length x the multiplier. (This is the default setting, multiplier = 3.)
- None — single-timeframe mode. All Context features are hidden / disabled.

A master switch, plus a separate on/off switch and threshold for each marker:
- MegaBar (arrow) — large price move on large volume. Both normalized price and normalized volume at or above the threshold (default 80).
Interpretation: one or more MegaBars are often observed before a strong trend starts (or resumes) in that direction. - Ease of Move (triangle) — large price result on small volume effort. EV ratio at or above the threshold (default 120).
Interpretation: EoM bars usually mean one side has strong control of the move (for example, buyers), while there is weak or little interest from the other side. - Compression (circle) — large volume effort with a small price result. EV ratio at or below the threshold (default 50).
Interpretation: this is like a car running in place and burning fuel — there is strong competition between the two sides of the market. It may be seen ahead of a reversal or at key support / resistance levels.

█ Roadmap
RedK EVEREX Pro will continue to develop. Please feel free to share feedback once you start using it. Planned work in the queue includes:
- More insights in EVEREX Pro: markers on the price chart (EVEREX Markers and Alignment Markers), more data points in the Context Status Panel, and color settings for the EVEREX Bands.
- EVEREX Screener edition: a light edition made for the Pine Screener, to scan a watchlist or market for Context Alignment (bull / bear) or any EVEREX Marker — the same conditions as the alerts, without the plots.
- A specialized EVEREX Bull / Bear Pressure edition: a light edition built around the relative buying and selling pressure values across multiple timeframes from the EVEREX engine, with highlights when a potential setup forms and a compact info panel.
==================================================================================
📝 Notes on Use and Limitations
==================================================================================
- Volume data: if the symbol has no volume feed, RedK EVEREX Pro automatically falls back to price-action-only calculation.
- Every effort has been made to provide a professional-level indicator - e.g., useful insights, no clutter, clean indicator status bar and a useful "data window" - If you notice any issues in that regard, please alert me directly.
- This is an insight tool, not a signal service. The markers and alerts describe price action readings. They are not advice to enter or exit any position, and the indicator does not claim predictive accuracy.
