BOBO Breakout Retest Detector Pro

2 010
# Breakout Retest Detector Pro

Breakout Retest Detector Pro is a price-action indicator designed to identify one of the highest-probability market behaviors: a breakout followed by a retest of the broken level.

The indicator automatically detects significant support and resistance levels using swing highs and swing lows. When price breaks above resistance or below support with sufficient momentum, the indicator records the breakout level and begins monitoring for a retest.

A bullish retest occurs when price breaks above resistance, pulls back to the former resistance level, and successfully holds it as new support before continuing higher. A bearish retest occurs when price breaks below support, rallies back to the former support level, and rejects it as new resistance before continuing lower.

To improve signal quality, the indicator incorporates multiple confirmation filters:

• Pivot-based support and resistance detection
• ATR-based breakout confirmation to filter weak breakouts
• ATR-based retest tolerance to adapt to market volatility
• Optional EMA trend filter to align trades with the dominant trend
• Optional volume confirmation filter
• Bullish and bearish rejection candle confirmation
• Fakeout protection to reduce false retest signals
• Real-time alerts for breakouts and confirmed retests

The indicator is particularly effective on NAS100, US100, XAUUSD, major forex pairs, indices, and other highly liquid markets. It works across multiple timeframes but generally performs best on 15-minute, 1-hour, 4-hour, and Daily charts where support and resistance levels carry greater significance.

Signals generated by the indicator are not intended to predict market direction on their own. Instead, they identify locations where institutional participation often becomes visible after a breakout. Traders can combine these signals with market structure, trend analysis, order flow, liquidity concepts, or risk management rules to build a complete trading strategy.

Key Signals:

• Bullish Breakout — Price closes decisively above resistance.
• Bearish Breakout — Price closes decisively below support.
• Bullish Retest Buy — Price retests and holds former resistance as support.
• Bearish Retest Sell — Price retests and rejects former support as resistance.

The goal of Breakout Retest Detector Pro is to help traders avoid chasing breakouts and instead focus on higher-quality entries that occur when the market confirms a breakout through a successful retest.

# BOBO Breakout Retest Detector Pro

BOBO Breakout Retest Detector Pro is an advanced price-action and market-structure indicator designed to identify institutional breakout, retest, and liquidity sweep opportunities across indices, forex, commodities, and futures markets.

Unlike traditional support and resistance indicators that rely solely on swing highs and swing lows, BOBO focuses on the levels most actively monitored by professional traders, hedge funds, proprietary trading firms, and institutional participants.

The indicator automatically tracks and analyzes:

• Previous Day High (PDH)
• Previous Day Low (PDL)
• Premarket High (PMH)
• Premarket Low (PML)
• Previous Week High (PWH)
• Previous Week Low (PWL)
• Previous Month High (PMTH)
• Previous Month Low (PMTL)
• Opening Range High (ORH)
• Opening Range Low (ORL)
• Regular Trading Session High and Low
• Optional Swing Highs and Swing Lows

These levels frequently act as liquidity magnets where large market participants execute orders, trigger stops, and initiate directional moves.

## Institutional Breakout Detection

The indicator continuously monitors key institutional levels and identifies valid bullish and bearish breakouts using volatility-adjusted ATR confirmation.

A breakout is only recognized when price closes decisively beyond a monitored level rather than merely touching or briefly exceeding it. This helps reduce false signals and weak breakouts commonly seen in lower-quality indicators.

## Retest Confirmation

After a breakout occurs, BOBO tracks the broken level and waits for price to return and test it.

Bullish Retest:
• Resistance is broken.
• Price pulls back.
• Former resistance holds as support.
• A bullish rejection candle confirms the retest.

Bearish Retest:
• Support is broken.
• Price rallies back.
• Former support holds as resistance.
• A bearish rejection candle confirms the retest.

Only the first qualified retest is signaled, helping reduce chart clutter and repeated signals.

## Liquidity Sweep Detection

One of the most powerful features of BOBO is its ability to identify potential liquidity sweeps.

A liquidity sweep occurs when price temporarily moves beyond a significant institutional level, triggering stop losses and breakout traders before quickly reversing back inside the range.

The indicator identifies both bullish and bearish sweep conditions around:

• Previous Day High / Low
• Premarket High / Low
• Previous Week High / Low
• Previous Month High / Low
• Opening Range High / Low

These sweeps often precede some of the strongest intraday reversals and trend continuations.

## Multi-Timeframe Trend Alignment

To improve signal quality, BOBO incorporates dual trend filtering:

• Current Timeframe EMA Trend Filter
• Higher Timeframe EMA Trend Filter

This allows traders to align breakout and retest signals with broader market direction and avoid trading against dominant trend conditions.

## Institutional Level Scoring System

Not all levels carry the same importance.

BOBO assigns a score to each level based on its institutional significance:

• Previous Day High / Low = 10
• Premarket High / Low = 9
• Previous Week High / Low = 8
• Previous Month High / Low = 8
• Opening Range High / Low = 7
• Session High / Low = 5
• Swing High / Low = 3

Signals can be filtered based on minimum score requirements, allowing traders to focus only on the highest-probability institutional setups.

## Key Signals

Bullish Breakout
• Institutional resistance level breaks.
• Trend and volatility filters confirm.

Bearish Breakout
• Institutional support level breaks.
• Trend and volatility filters confirm.

Bullish Retest Buy
• Price retests a broken resistance level.
• Support is confirmed.
• Trend remains intact.

Bearish Retest Sell
• Price retests a broken support level.
• Resistance is confirmed.
• Trend remains intact.

Bullish Liquidity Sweep
• Significant support is swept.
• Price quickly reclaims the level.

Bearish Liquidity Sweep
• Significant resistance is swept.
• Price quickly rejects the level.

## Recommended Markets

BOBO was specifically optimized for:

• NAS100 / US100
• NQ Futures
• XAUUSD (Gold)
• SPX500
• Forex Major Pairs
• Index Futures

## Disclaimer

BOBO Breakout Retest Detector Pro is a decision-support tool designed to identify institutional market structure, breakout, retest, and liquidity sweep opportunities. No indicator can predict market direction with certainty. Traders should always use sound risk management, position sizing, and independent analysis before entering any trade.

The upgraded version is much more than an EMA + RSI indicator. It attempts to filter out many of the false signals that occur on NAS100 and XAUUSD.

1. Higher Timeframe Trend Filter
Old Version

The indicator only looked at the chart timeframe.

Example:

1H says BUY
4H is crashing

It still buys.

New Version

The indicator checks the 4H trend before allowing a 1H signal.

BUY only if:

1H bullish
4H bullish

SELL only if:

1H bearish
4H bearish

This prevents many counter-trend trades.

2. Liquidity Sweep Detection
Old Version

If EMA, RSI, and Supertrend aligned, it fired immediately.

New Version

The indicator looks for stop hunts.

Bullish Sweep:

Price takes out a previous low
Traps sellers
Closes back above

Bearish Sweep:

Price takes out a previous high
Traps buyers
Closes back below

These are often where institutions enter.

The indicator can require a sweep before generating a signal.

3. Break of Structure (BOS)
Old Version

It didn't know whether market structure actually changed.

New Version

Bullish BOS:

Price breaks a previous swing high

Bearish BOS:

Price breaks a previous swing low

This confirms that momentum is actually shifting.

4. Retest Confirmation

This is one of the biggest upgrades.

Old Version

Breakout → BUY

New Version
Structure breaks
Market pulls back
Retest holds
BUY signal appears

This dramatically improves entry quality.

For NAS100 this is often the difference between chasing and entering professionally.

5. RSI Momentum Slope
Old Version

RSI simply had to be above a level.

Example:

RSI = 60
RSI falling hard

Still gives BUY.

New Version

BUY:

RSI above buy level
RSI rising

SELL:

RSI below sell level
RSI falling

Momentum must be moving in the trade direction.

6. ADX Trend Strength Filter

ADX measures trend strength.

Problem

Most indicators lose money in sideways markets.

Solution

Only allow signals when:

ADX > 20

or whatever threshold you choose.

This removes many ranging-market trades.

7. ATR Volatility Filter

ATR measures volatility.

Old Version

Could generate signals during dead markets.

New Version

Requires sufficient volatility.

No volatility:

No trade

This helps avoid low-quality setups.

8. Signal Scoring System

This is a major change.

Instead of simply:

BUY
SELL

The indicator creates a quality score.

Example:

Condition Points
EMA Trend 15
Supertrend 15
RSI Momentum 15
HTF Trend 15
ADX 10
ATR 10
Sweep 10
Retest 10

Total = 100

A signal might score:

55 = Weak
70 = Good
85 = Strong
95 = Exceptional

The indicator only triggers when the score exceeds your threshold.

9. Automatic Risk Management
Old Version

Only gave signals.

New Version

Every signal includes:

Entry
Stop Loss
TP1
TP2
TP3

Using ATR-based calculations.

This creates consistent risk management.

10. Dashboard

A dashboard appears showing:

Buy Score
Sell Score
HTF Trend
ADX
RSI
ATR
Current Signal

Instead of guessing why a signal occurred, you can see the components.

What This Still Does NOT Have

If your goal is a truly institutional NAS100/XAUUSD indicator, I would still add:

Fair Value Gaps (FVG)

Detect institutional imbalances.

Order Blocks

Mark likely institutional accumulation/distribution zones.

Premium / Discount Arrays

Only buy in discount.
Only sell in premium.

Session Sweeps

Detect:

London sweep
New York sweep

These are extremely useful for NAS100.

Volume Profile

Identify high-volume institutional areas.

Relative Volume

Avoid signals during low participation.

If I were ranking your current public indicator at 6.5/10, these upgrades would likely move it to around 8.5/10. Adding Fair Value Gaps, Order Blocks, and session liquidity sweeps could potentially push it into the 9+/10 range for NAS100 and XAUUSD traders.
