Here's a list of key deals reported across sectors this week:
- S&P Global
SPGI has entered into an agreement to acquire leading on-chain security assessments platform OpenZeppelin, the company said on Monday.
- Pearson
PSO announced the acquisition of ITS, a Baltimore-based assessment technology provider specializing in the management, delivery, and reporting of testing programs. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
- GE HealthCare Technologies
GEHC is in advanced talks to acquire Sofie Biosciences for about $1 billion, a move that would expand its presence in radioactive diagnostic agents used with medical scans, the Financial Times reported Sunday.
- Brookfield
BAM has agreed to acquire plumbing products manufacturer Reliance Worldwide for about $2.9B in an all-cash deal. The offer values Reliance at $3.38 per share, equivalent to A$4.75 per share, and represents a roughly 32% premium to its August 17 closing price.
- Aethlon Medical AAEMD shares soared 346% premarket on Thursday as it agreed on an all-stock merger with North Immunology. The transaction, approved by both boards, is expected to close in the first quarter of 2027.
- Infillion reported an agreement to acquire location intelligence platform Foursquare, a location intelligence platform, to combine Foursquare’s visitation data with Catalina’s purchase intelligence in a single advertising platform.
- Mistras Group
MG gains 3.3% premarket Friday after the company agreed to be acquired by investment firm H.I.G. Capital in an all-cash deal with an $866M enterprise value, including debt.
- State-owned China Rare Earth Group is in talks to acquire Shenghe Resources, a move that would consolidate Beijing's control over the sector and give the firm a stake in one of Washington's rare earth plays, Reuters reported. If successful, the deal would hand over control of Shenghe's stakes in foreign firms, including a 3% share of US rare earths company MP Materials
