XRP Ledger Recovers From Its Lows: 153% Surge, Will It Affect Price?

1 min read

XRP Ledger activity is picking up again. Payment volume on the network jumped 153.9% in the last 24 hours and reached 363.3 million XRP, according to XRPScan data. After a quiet stretch, this is a welcome signal for holders.

XRP buyers step in

The jump comes at an important moment for the price. XRP is trading near $1.36 after a low of $1.31 on the daily chart. Buyers stepped in right at the orange moving average, which sits around $1.34. That level held as support, and the current candle is green after several red ones.

Still, context matters. The 363.3 million XRP figure is well below the 30-day average of 680.4 million. The 153.9% rise looks large because the previous day was very weak. So this is a recovery from a low base, not a new record. The all-time high for payment volume is 7 billion XRP, which shows how far current activity is from the peak.

Ledger's performance is stable

The one-year chart shows that volume moves in sharp waves. It spikes above 1.5 billion, then falls back below 500 million. The largest spikes came in November and February, when volume reached approximately 2.5 billion and 2.7 billion. A smaller spike near 1.9 billion showed up in September. A quiet day followed by a sharp jump is normal for this network.

What makes this move worth watching is the timing. The price has dropped from near $1.65 in late September to the low $1.30s. The RSI is near 40, which indicates weak momentum but not an intense sell-off. Trading volume on the price chart has also decreased in October. Rising on-chain activity may be the first sign that interest is returning.

For bulls, the next test is the $1.38 to $1.40 area. XRP needs to close above it to reclaim the black and blue moving averages. That would open the way toward $1.45 and then $1.50. If buyers fail there, the $1.31 low is the level to defend. A drop below it would put the recent bounce in doubt.

For now, growing ledger volume and a bounce off support make a good combination. But one strong day is not a trend. Traders will need to see volume stay above the 30-day average before calling this a real bullish turn.
