Sentiment and Engagement

What is Sentiment?

It is an indicator reflecting the share of positive mentions of cryptocurrency on social networks, weighted based on the Engagements indicator (number of likes, comments, reposts, etc.).

Why is Sentiment important?

The Sentiment metric gauges the proportion of positive mentions about a cryptocurrency on social media, adjusted for user interactions. A value near 100% indicates strong positive sentiment, suggesting confidence and enthusiasm within the community. Conversely, values around 50% indicate mixed feelings, while values close to 0% reflect negative perceptions. This metric is important for assessing market sentiment and potential impacts on a cryptocurrency's performance.

What are Engagements?

It is an indicator that measures the level of user engagement in discussing a particular cryptocurrency on social networks. It takes into account likes, reposts, comments, and responses to social media posts related to the project.

Why are Engagements important?

Engagements measure how actively users engage with a cryptocurrency on social media. A high level of engagement suggests strong crypto community interest, which can indicate rising attention and potential price momentum for the project. This makes it a useful metric for spotting projects with growing popularity.
