Salesforce Rallied. Now it’s Pulled Back

181
Salesforce rallied last month, and now it’s pulled back.

The first pattern on today’s chart is the gap on August 27 after earnings, revenue and guidance surprised to the upside.

Second, CRM tested the low of that session before rebounding. That may have confirmed support.

Third, stochastics are turning up from an oversold condition.

Next, the software company’s 8-day exponential moving average (EMA) has remained above its 21-day EMA. That could reflect a bullish short-term trend.

Finally, the 50-day simple moving average (SMA) had a “golden cross” above the 200-day SMA this month. That may indicate that the longer-term trend has turned positive.
