Brian XAUUSD – Gold closes week under 4,100.BRIAN XAUUSD – GOLD ENDS THE WEEK BELOW 4,100, SELLERS STILL CONTROL VALUE
Gold closed the week under pressure after failing to reclaim the 4,100 area with real strength. Even though the US dollar weakened earlier after Japanese FX intervention, the recovery in Treasury yields and renewed Fed rate-hike risk kept gold heavy.
This week’s story was clear: gold tried to rebound, but every recovery attempt was capped below higher value. Price is now trading around 4,045, still below the descending
Fundamental Analysis
XAUUSD: Weekly Elliott Wave might require another low.Gold is still trading under the larger downtrend structure, and the weekly chart has not confirmed a full bullish reversal yet. From Kelly’s view, the current market is moving sideways above key support, but as long as price remains below the descending trendline and the 4,201 resistance area, the bearish Elliott structure still needs attention.
The key idea is simple: gold may continue lower first to complete the final Elliott wave, then a larger ABC recovery may appear later if buyers defend

Market Context
Gold ends the week around 4,045 after failing to hold above the 4,100 region. The weekly tone remains fragile as rising Treasury yields, WTI strength, and a partial USD recovery continue to pressure buyers.
Fed members remain divided, but the market is still watching inflation risk closely. Higher oil prices keep that risk alive, while USD volatility after Japan-related FX moves adds another layer of uncertainty.
The main story is simple: gold i

That 4,100 rejection is the fight of the week.
Gold spent the whole week stuck in this ugly recovery range. Not clean bullish. Not clean bearish either. Just liquidity getting chopped around.
We had the low around 3,968 holding again. That matters. Sellers kept pressing, but they never really killed the base. Then price built a small ChoCH around the 4,020 - 4,040 area and tried to push back into 4,100.
But yeah, 4,100 failed. For now.

Market Context
Gold is facing fresh supply on Friday as the US Dollar rebounds from a one-and-a-half-month low. Escalating US-Iran tensions keep inflation risk alive, while Fed rate-hike expectations continue to support the USD.
This puts pressure back on gold after its recent breakout from the downtrend channel. Buyers had a short-term advantage, but the rejection from the Premium Supply Zone shows that the recovery is not fully confirmed yet.

Bias: Choppy and headline driven, watching for a head and shoulders breakdown. Key driver: a blocked Iranian attack and Trump's retaliation threat snapped a three day slide.
The Setup
Oil actually fell for three straight days before this chart even starts, dropping from the low 90s down to about 78.6, before a surprise Iranian attack on US forces, the one the US said it intercepted, reignited the whole story and sent price rallying back through 83, 85, and briefly above 86. The Setup
Gold actually pushed to a new high for this move since my last post, running from the FOMC spike up to a fresh peak near 4,122 to 4,125, before pulling back to the current 4,055 area. The two day rally into that peak came on a weaker dollar, helped along by suspected Japanese intervention to prop up the yen, plus the

BRIAN XAUUSD – GOLD FALLOUT ABOVE 4,100 ASBRIAN XAUUSD – GOLD FAILS ABOVE 4,100 AS SELLERS RETURN
Gold remains under pressure during the Asian session after struggling to hold gains above the 4,100 level for two days. This repeated failure tells me buyers are still not strong enough to build real acceptance at higher value.
From a macro view, the US dollar has regained positive momentum after reversing part of its previous decline. At the same time, inflation risk from volatile crude oil prices keeps the possibility of further Fed tig

Gold is still struggling to hold strength above the 4,100 area.
After the recent recovery, price failed to build a strong continuation above resistance and is now trading around 4,075. The chart shows that sellers are still active near the 4,114 resistance zone, while buyers are trying to defend the short-term buy order area around 4,064.
This is an important decision point. Gold is under pressure, but the structure is no

Gold is giving back part of the recent upside move after the strong reaction around the FOMC high.
Price is currently trading around 4,035 after failing to hold above the upper liquidity area. The market is now pulling back into the lower part of the intraday structure, where the buy order zone around 4,024 becomes very important.
This is a clean decision point. If buyers defend this zone, gold may recover again toward 4,066 and 4,101

Gold has once again failed to sustain above the 4,100 level, and this rejection is not something to ignore.
This is the fourth time this week that XAUUSD has attempted to break and hold above 4,100, but every single time, acceptance has been rejected. Even after the FOMC volatility, gold is still struggling to maintain higher value, while the US dollar pauses its decline and geopolitical tensions re-emerge following renewed US strikes on Iran.
