Over the past couple of weeks, the S&P500 has been repeating the major breakout rally of 2021. Back then the S&P500 actually broke above the channel resistance and immediately rallied more than +15%. If we see the confirmed breakout, we will likely see the same thing happening again.

After we saw a quite harsh drop on the entire stock market last week, the S&P500 is actually struggling to hold the bullish trendline breakout. The next trading week will be very tensive and decisive, as it will most likely dictate the behaviour of the major U.S. indices over the entire year of 2025.

The S&P500 is clearly still fighting with the upper channel resistance trendline and with a drop of almost -3% in December, this could still turn into a valid fakeout. Nevertheless optimism is again very important and if bulls step in again, it is quite likely that 2025 will be another awesome green stock market year.
