Tesla (TSLA) is scheduled to release its second-quarter financial results after U.S. markets close on Wednesday, with investors expected to focus on whether improving vehicle deliveries are translating into stronger profitability.

Wall Street expects Tesla to report second-quarter adjusted earnings of $0.54 per share on revenue of $25.7 billion. Tesla has exceeded EPS estimates in three of its past eight quarters and topped revenue expectations in five of those reporting periods.

Market participants are also looking for updates on the company's artificial intelligence initiatives and autonomous driving plans.

Tesla last reported adjusted earnings of $0.41 per share on revenue of $22.39 billion, exceeding analysts' expectations. Quarterly revenue rose 15.8% from a year earlier. The company delivered 480,126 vehicles during the second quarter, up 25% year over year and ahead of Wall Street forecasts, supported by strong growth in Europe and higher wholesale volumes in China. Tesla also deployed a record 13.5 gigawatt-hours of energy storage, an increase of more than 40% from the prior year.

Ahead of the earnings release, investors are expected to seek commentary on Tesla's Cybercab robotaxi rollout, Full Self-Driving adoption, automotive margins and AI-related spending. The company recently expanded its Cybercab service to Miami and increased its 2026 capital expenditure outlook to $25 billion from $20 billion as it continues investing in AI infrastructure and autonomous driving technology.
