It took me a minute to pinpoint the anxiety provoking and klunky experience when trying to place and update trade prices quickly under pressure. The bars for placing, replacing, and confirming trades is too wide and requires too wide of an eye movement sideways to confirm the bid/ask. This is especially true when your spreads are SOOOOO wide and updating frequently.! IDK, maybe you do that on purpose because it works to your benefit. Also, lack of daily P&L is very frustrating for someone who places trades very quickly and often does not have time to scribble them down in the moment. Finally, for some reason, even though I focus on clicking on a respective expiration date, I have found that on more than one occasion, I have entered trades for the wrong expiration date. In addition, for some of my trades I like to sell very wide put spreads and the number of times I have to page down to get the strike prices I want is excessive. I already have my screen at 80% to fit more in the window (it's too small). If I make the font any smaller, I won't be able to see any anything.by famousJun 24
Truly the best broker, with the best customer support. Data exports are top tier, and easy to access. Support is extremely competent and patient. Commissions and fees structure is coherent and competitive. Order tools are powerful and highly customizable. I am updating my review to 5-stars because I realized that the problem was TradingView, and not tastytrade. After TradingView destroyed their order UI, I decided to place orders through tastytrade directly. Using TV for charts and my broker for execution, in separate screens, completely changed how and what I trade. Do yourself a favor, get familiar with their product. I was reluctant at first because it's exceedingly minimal and seems almost dated. But, I learned that it's minimal for a reason: They only focus on features successful traders need. Allow that to help you. If there is not support for something you want, maybe it's not actually a profitable idea. Use what they have, and learn their platform. They have amazing educational resources, and support has been there any time I can't find the answer in the docs. Highly customizable settings allow you to fine tune defaults so you can trade with as few clicks as possible. Watchlists are extensive, relevant, curated in-house, and updated continuously. If you want API trading, they support that, too. There is no better options broker.by tape-readingJun 17

I have significant lag every time i place a trade using TT along with the tradingview platform. After I place a trade I nave to wait maybe 15 seconds or more before the trade registers on the TT platform and it impacts changing stops or TP as conditions warrant. Pretty much perfect EXCEPT that they still do not protect areas on the screen occupied by indicators. You can mistakenly drag indicators all over the place and hammer everything else on the screen. Fortunately, they do provide the ability to Save Indicator Template for each screen layout which you can then load back into your screen layout correcting everything. Execution is very slow, and the platform does not properly support stop-loss and profit bracket orders. Modifying an active trade is difficult or not possible once the order is working.
