Nebius Jumps as Nvidia Reveals 9.3% Stake
Nebius Group (NBIS, Financials), an Amsterdam-based artificial intelligence computing infrastructure provider, jumped around 7% in premarket trading after Nvidia said it bought a 9.3% interest in the firm.
The filing gives investors a better look at Nvidia's exposure to Nebius, which has grown into a top provider of AI computing capacity in Europe.
Shares of Nebius have climbed nearly 250% over the past year, giving the company a market value of about $46 billion.
Nvidia already said it would put $2 billion into Nebius. The companies also collaborate on deploying AI infrastructure, fleet management and the architecture of inference and data centers.
The partnership could help Nebius access hardware and technical assistance as demand for large-scale AI systems continues to grow.
Nebius has also signed significant customer deals. In March, Meta also pledged to invest up to $27 billion in corporate infrastructure in a long-term contract.
Nvidia is bolstering its support for companies across the AI ecosystem, making strategic investments to increase demand for its chips and expand its influence in cloud computing.
Investors will now be watching to see how quickly Nebius can turn its huge order book into revenue and cash flow.
