Invite-only Script Rules

These rules are part of the TradingView Terms of Use (Section 23). They apply to everyone who publishes invite-only scripts or grants other users access to them.

1. Public and private invite-only scripts

1.1. A script that more than 5 users can access must be published as a public invite-only script. Public scripts are reviewed by TradingView moderators and must follow the House Rules.

1.2. Private invite-only scripts suit internal use: testing, personal use, custom work for a single client or sharing with partners.

  • A private invite-only script can have up to 5 users with access at a time.
  • You can publish up to 5 new private invite-only scripts per calendar month.
  • Users of private scripts take seats like any other user (section 2).

1.3. From November 15, 2026, you can convert a private invite-only script into a public one at any time. Converted scripts are reviewed by TradingView moderators like any other public script. If a converted script with active users has a problem, TradingView will do its best to resolve it with the author rather than remove the script. Scripts with severe violations are removed immediately. Severe violations include breaking the law, scamming users and distributing content prohibited by law.

1.4. From December 1, 2026, a private invite-only script with more than 5 users is locked: you can remove users from it, but you can't add users or publish updates until you convert it into a public script or it has 5 or fewer users.

2. Seats

From February 1, 2027:

2.1. Each user to whom you grant access to one or more of your invite-only scripts, public or private, takes one seat while that access is active, however many of your scripts they can access.

2.2. A seat becomes free again when the user's access expires or you remove it.

2.3. Access bought through a Paid Space in the Marketplace doesn't take a seat.

2.4. Access granted before February 1, 2027, including access without an expiry date, doesn't take a seat. If you extend or otherwise change it on or after February 1, 2027, including giving the user access to another of your scripts, the user takes a seat from then on.

2.5. An active Premium or Ultimate plan includes 100 seats.

2.6. If you need more, you can buy seat extensions in steps of 100 seats for USD 300 per month per step (plus applicable taxes). All your seat extensions form one recurring monthly subscription under Section 13 of the Terms of Use. You can add more at any time. TradingView will give advance notice before changing the price of seat extensions. You can get a refund for a seat extension payment if you request it within 14 calendar days after the payment (Terms of Use, Section 23).

2.7. When all your seats are in use, you can't grant or extend access that would take a new seat until you add an extension or a seat frees up. Reaching the limit doesn't remove anyone's access.

2.8. If you have fewer seats than users who take them, for example because your seat extensions were cancelled, reduced, refunded or not paid, or your Premium or Ultimate plan ended, nobody loses access, but you can't add users or extend anyone's access until you have enough seats again.

3. Co-marketing

TradingView may, at its sole discretion and by invitation only, agree with a vendor who promotes TradingView and brings new customers to TradingView on individual terms that reduce or waive the fees for seat extensions. These terms are agreed in writing and apply only to the vendor named in them.

4. Multiple accounts

You can have more than one account. Seats are counted separately for each account.

You can't split the users of a script across several accounts. For example, you can't publish the same or a very similar script on two accounts and divide its users between them, or move users of a script to a copy on another account. If we find accounts used this way, all of them can be banned without prior notice and their scripts removed (Terms of Use, Section 23).
