SP500 Equal Weight Index Buy Opportunity U.S. equities remain structurally strong, with the Nasdaq pushing into record territory and the S&P 500 trading near all-time highs. However, underneath the surface, market breadth has deteriorated significantly. Unlike SPY, where a handful of mega-cap technology companies can drive the entire index higher, RSP gives approximately equal weight to every S&P 500 company. This makes it a much better representation of how the average large-cap U.S. stock is actually performing.

The next move is upon us...In my opinion (IMO)I am going to make a call today...the bottom on silver and gold are in....SILJ structure looks ready for a MAJOR move up...as do many other individual mining stocks...I think we see this move start this week and rally into the year end...so I am loaded and ready! Trade at you own risks...and do not take excessive risks...!
TLT: The “Safe Haven” Has TeethTLT’s monthly chart looks like a masterclass in disappointing dip buyers. Since the 2020 peak, rebounds have repeatedly stalled below previous highs. The latest decline pushes price beneath the recent consolidation, keeping the bearish structure firmly in place.
Calling every bounce a reversal does not make it one. So far, the bulls have delivered enthusiasm; the chart has delivered lower highs.
And “Treasury” is not a magic spell against losses. TLT holds long-dated government bonds, leaving
QQQ tagged its yearly target on Fri, the pivot is now the lineQQQ touched 754.53 on Friday, just above its yearly target at 754.32, then closed at 749.50. The target has printed.
The close is still above 742.58, its October and Q4 pivot, so the month and the quarter keep pointing up.
After a target prints I don't chase it. If long, that's where I'd take some profit rather than add.
The line to hold is now 742.58 on a daily close. Intraday dips don't count, only the close.

SPY is trading 769.50 premarket, holding above 765.52 after Friday closed at 769.64 following the jobs report. Two backtests, same 20% CAGR. Only one is worth trading. Two backtests both show 20% CAGR. One of them lost 10% at its worst moment, the other lost 60%. Calling these two results "the same performance" is how backtests end up misread, and the fix is simple: never read CAGR without the drawdown that paid for it.
This idea walks through the three numbers involved and how to read them together. The chart above uses my open-source Monthly Performance Table script to display them, but the arithmetic is universal - you can compute all three from any equity

• Upper and lower reversal zones.
• Confirmed LONG and SHORT markers.

$SPY Sunday Night Market Prep — Can October Build Some Optimism?Believe it or not, I’m not picking Yellow this week. Looking at SPY on the 15-minute chart, I’m leaning toward the Green scenario and the possibility of a bullish run. That also fits the early optimism phase of the monthly Yellow scenario I outlined in “Optimistic October?” A constructive week would fit that larger roadmap without settling how the rest of October plays out.
The market has a reason to attempt a recovery. Softer employment data eased expectations for another immediate Fed hike, g

One of the most common trading mistakes is treating every move against the current direction as a reversal.
A trend is more than price being above or below a moving average. The underlying structure matters.

A healthy bullish trend normally shows:

Higher lows
Successful defense of prior breakout areas
Pullbacks that lose momentum before the primary trend does

SPY: $775 Breakout or Another Rejection? | Oct. 5–9
SPY enters the week recovering toward resistance, with the economic calendar likely to influence whether buyers can sustain Friday’s rebound. The main scheduled catalysts are Monday’s ISM Services report, Wednesday’s FOMC minutes, Thursday’s jobless claims and Friday’s University of Michigan consumer sentiment survey. I’m watching how Treasury yields respond alongside equities, particularly around the Fed minutes.
The daily chart has improved, but SPY remains inside its recent range. Friday’s
Price Action Education Series No. 011 - PennantPennants are continuation patterns that form after a strong, sharp directional move, followed by a brief pause where price tightens into a small converging structure before breaking again in the original direction. The key idea is simple: the market makes a powerful run, pauses just long enough to compress, and then often continues the trend. A pennant is very similar to a flag, but the difference is important — flags use parallel boundaries, while pennants use converging lines.
That distinctio
XLEThis looks promising. My interpretation of the data suggests that a bullish move for XLE is to be expected. Center Point inflows concur. These are the prices, as I see them, all the way up to the $72 range and all the way down to the $56 range. Obviously, in my opinion, red means sell and green means buy. Below, a rising trendline and the EMA 100 hold near 58. The range is getting tighter and volume is fading.
I want a 4h close above 64 to confirm a breakout. My target is 70 to 72. If price closes under 58, I drop the idea.
I will wait for the close, not guess.

SPY: Before buying a bounce, check the right statisticYesterday's low is on the chart. Price is approaching it. Does that make it a good place to buy?
I want to separate two questions first: how often price reaches the level, and what happens after it gets there.
