SPY: big closing volume compared with what?SPY’s final 15-minute bar on October 12 looks large beside the preceding bars. The clock changes the comparison.
On this TradingView feed, the completed 15:45 bar shows 580.4K volume versus a 728.4K median for the same clock slot across 60 earlier complete sessions. Relative volume is 0.80x.
Practical check: compare 15:45 with earlier 15:45 bars before calling the close unusual. A large bar beside quiet midday bars does not settle that question.

Elliott Wave Analysis: SPY Bullish Cycle Yet to CompleteThe short‑term Elliott Wave view in the S&P 500 ETF (SPY) indicates that the instrument remains in an incomplete bullish sequence. This favors additional upside in the near term. The pullback to 749.90 marked the end of wave ((iv)), and the ETF has since advanced into wave ((v)). The rise from that level is forming a five‑wave diagonal. At present, only three swings higher have developed.
From the September 17 low, wave i concluded at 775.14. A corrective decline in wave ii then ended at 758.79
COPX - A Copper Supply Squeeze Could Fuel the Next RallyI’m bullish on COPX as near-term supply risks reinforce copper’s long-term demand story!
Three catalysts stand out:
China’s smelter shutdowns: Planned October–November maintenance could reduce refined copper supply by roughly 80,000 tonnes, according to Reuters.
Escondida strike risk: Supervisors’ mediation was scheduled for October 6–13. Failed negotiations could trigger a strike, although the production impact remains uncertain.
A longer-term supply gap: The IEA’s 2026 outlook projects a p

Touch vs. Close: A Higher Hit Rate Isn’t Always a Better ExitTouch vs. Close: A Higher Hit Rate Isn’t Always a Better Exit
I trade SPY intraday and take half my position off at a first target of +0.5R. For a long time I sold that half on a 5-minute close above the target. It always felt slow. I’d watch price tag my level, pull back, and close below it, and I’d miss the exit.
So I tested the obvious fix: sell the moment price touches the target instead of waiting for the close. Same entries, same stops, same everything else. Only the first exit changed.
MSCI Brazil: THE "BRAZILIAN TRAIN" ON COURSE TO DOUBLE IN PRICEThe MSCI Brazil ETF (EWZ, "total return" format) is once again encountering its historical flat resistance.
But this time, the Brazilian market is facing an uptrend, high real rates, and slowly but surely increasing de-dollarization, diversification and de-americanization.
Technical picture of The "Brazilian Train"
The quarterly chart of AMEX:EWZ clearly shows the wide sideways trend from 2008 to 2026, where the $40-$42 zone served as flat resistance, from which the price had previously
ARKK: Rally Pauses, But the Bigger Trend Remains IntactARK Innovation ETF (ARKK) has delivered an impressive performance since late March and early April 2026, rallying more than 50% from its lows. The move initially stalled around the $83.8 resistance area , a level that successfully capped upside momentum during the first attempt.
However, buyers eventually regained control, and by late August, ARKK managed to break above that barrier. What was previously resistance quickly turned into support, allowing price to extend higher toward the majo
Opening: USO November 27th 2 x 125/130/170/180 Iron Condor ... for a 2.86 credit.

Opening (Delta Hedge): EWZ Nov 27th 38/43/48/55 Iron Condor... for a 2.21 credit.
Comments: With my position net delta skewing badly short, my delta/theta ratio far over 1.0, and with negative extrinsic in the position, selling a net delta long skewed iron condor here to reduce directionality. (I've already done the obvious thing of rolling up the untested put side/inverting to collect additional credits and improve my call side break even).
Position delta/theta at -21.70/4.39.
I'm fine with remaining net delta short here (it is, after all at 52-we

market breath is not great but index's are up I'm assuming these areas would be active today, a bit of a range of the top of all times or highest of all times and overall I guess the market breadth is not great but it is getting better and better. I think stuff is moving on assumption and news over the Iranian conflict. So you can see the marine transportation branch is seemingly very strong. Also the oil related, fuel related stocks are seemingly setting up for an breakout to the high or highest of the their own high. So overall these are
SPY Is Pressing The 779.37 August High Again.SPY Is Pressing The 779.37 August High Again.
SPY is trading near 779.10 premarket, just under the 779.37 August high. Friday traded to 779.42 and closed at 778.57, the second time in a week it has traded through that line without closing above it. The hourly structure is choppy with a bearish tilt, the hourly light is yellow and a high-sweep anti-signal is active. On the 4H the structure is impulse continuation to the upside, the light is green, and the last 4H announcement, from last Monday,

SPY: $782 Breakout or CPI Trap? | Oct 12–16
SPY enters the week recovering toward its recent high, with inflation and earnings set to test the move. CPI arrives Wednesday, October 14, followed by PPI Thursday, both at 8:30 AM Eastern. JPM’s Tuesday report also provides an early read on earnings and economic conditions.
My focus is whether SPY can turn $780 into support and clear $781.62–$782. The recovery is constructive, but the overnight advance still needs regular-session confirmation.

$QTUM Trading Near Apex of Symmetrical TriangleNASDAQ:QTUM continues to consolidate within a symmetrical triangle and is approaching the apex. Price remains compressed between rising support and descending resistance, suggesting a breakout may be approaching.
A confirmed breakout above the $158 resistance zone could open the door for a move toward the measured target near $204.
Until then, this remains a watch-and-wait setup as volatility continues to contract.

SPY Sunday Night Market Prep - October 12SPY enters the week near $778.57, with Friday’s recovery bringing price back toward an important decision area. My preference leans bullish, but a recovery into resistance still needs confirmation. Buyers have an opportunity to continue the advance. Now they need to show they can hold the ground they gain.
